About

"I ain't really happy," sings Gary Allan on "Get Off on the Pain," the down-home masterstroke that begins and provides the name for his new MCA Nashville collection, "until the sky starts driving rain." Unhesitatingly frank, mercilessly guitar-crazed, it's the rocked-out country confession of a smart guy drawn to what the rest of the world calls wrong roads and long shots, or complains of as aching bones and stubbornness, or — as Allan sings in a spectacular stretch of drawn-out soulful vowels — underestimates as dark horses. And as the California-born superstar releases his eighth studio album, it's about the most Gary Allan piece anyone could imagine.

We absolutely love Gary Allan and love the VBC. We will come watch Gary as long as he keeps coming back to Huntsville! The VBC venue is incredible and it’s our favorite place to enjoy concerts.

  • Tough one

by Alabama GA Fan on 11/24/25VBC Mark C Smith Concert Hall - HuntsvilleRating: 3 out of 5

We’ve seen GA many times in concert and this was our least favorite. Not sure if it’s a medical issue or something else, but it just sounded off all night. Still-enjoyed listening to his songs, but not the same. Wishing Gary well in the future.

  • Fantabulous!

by Tazzman on 10/29/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

Gary put on a great show. Love that he doesn't stand up there story telling; he just gets to the music.

  • Good experience However ADA could be better

by GC on 10/27/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

Great Gary Allan concert. ADA seating was challenged when everyone stood up in front of us. Are ADA tickets being bought up by Scalpers? I don't think that ADA seats should be allowed to be re sold at higher amount than original. Also should make sure they need ADA seating. Maybe include placard # when purchasing

  • Venue is lacking

by Derik on 10/27/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

We've seen Gary Allan many times and his performance was as we expected (although he played for less than 90 minutes including the encore this time, which was disappointing). The venue was less than ideal. The bathroom situation was the worst as there is just not enough bathrooms to accommodate the number of people attending. The venue feels old and run down. Probably best suited for plays rather than concerts.

  • Amazing night with a talented performer

by Snevets on 10/25/25Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 4 out of 5

Gary Allan put on an amazing high energy show! He's not one of those mail it in artists who simply goes through the motions. He genuinely seemed to want to make sure his fans had a good time. The venue was above average but the parking, sound quality at times and the concessions could all use improvement

  • Great review

by Trac on 10/23/25Appalachian Wireless Arena (Formerly Eastern Kentucky Expo Ctr) - PikevilleRating: 5 out of 5

We went for my boyfriends bday. We both have been Gary Allan fans since the late 90s. Hearing all of our favorite hits in person was amazing

  • Gary Allan at The Corbin Arena

Another fantastic show by Gary Allan! I’ve seen him many times, and he never disappoints!

  • It was awesome

by Brenda on 10/21/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the concert and his songs seem so personal and intense made me feel like he was just singing them to me

  • Sound was terrible

by James on 10/21/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 2 out of 5

We saw Gary a year ago and he was pretty good. This concert was actually pretty bad. Sound was terrible and too much heavy metal sound added to his songs. He should try and stay more true to what made him and this music isn't it. We wont go see him again.

  • Awesome Concert

by Rhonda on 10/21/25The Corbin Arena - CorbinRating: 5 out of 5

I love Gary Allen. He puts on an awesome show. Interacts with the audience. I’ve seen him several times and cannot wait to see him again.

  • Awesome show

by SuzyQ on 10/20/25The Cabarrus Arena and Events Center - ConcordRating: 5 out of 5

We arrived at the Cabarrus County Arena an hour before the show. We were able to get in and be seated and wait for the show. They had food and beverages and it was not a bad seat in the house. We saw Gary Allen. The show was awesome. He put on a great show. We enjoyed it very much and we will definitely go see him again and we would definitely come to the Cabarrus County Arena again.

  • Great concert!

We loved the concert. Gary is iconic!!! Always a great concert.

  • Great venue but a little chilly!

by Rebecca on 10/19/25The Cabarrus Arena and Events Center - ConcordRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was well run, parking was a breeze and the facilities were clean. The only hang up was that it was freezing inside! This definitely helped the artist sell sweatshirts lol. The staff said it is always like that and they were 3-4 layers. I will know for next time! Gary always puts on a great show and the opener was good too. The smaller venue made the performance seem more intimate and personable with no video screens to be distracted by.

  • Absolutely Great Concert

by CRNBREAD on 10/19/25The Cabarrus Arena and Events Center - ConcordRating: 5 out of 5

Gary put on a great show at Cabarrus Convention Center last Thursday night! Played all the great originals and a few new hits as well. We had an absolute blast. The venue was small but he rocked the place ! Can't wait to see him again.

  • Covered all his hits

    by DOC1 on 10/13/25del Lago Resort & Casino - WaterlooRating: 4 out of 5

It appeared that Gary Allan may have been having some voice issues during this concert. It sounded like his voice was off a bit based on his sound and he was taking several drinks during the concert. But it wasn’t bad enough to cancel the show and he put on the best show he could under the circumstances. Once again I believe the band overwhelmed the vocals by the volume of the instruments. I often wonder why the soundboard staff can’t hear that. One last comment, we were seated in the back row (it was a small venue) and the concert was disrupted by concert attendees and venue staff talking loudly through much of the concert. This is very disrespectful to both the artists and other concert goers.

  • Puts on a great show!!

by Lenny on 10/8/25Caesars Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Gary puts on one the best shows. It is nice when you know all the songs and sing along with him. He also engages with the audience, which is really great.
