We thoroughly enjoyed the Gaither Homecoming!! It was a Spirit filled evening with top-quality music by extremely talented folks. Couldn’t ask for better!
Only issue was seating a couple with a small child in the over 60 area. Child squirmed and kicked the seat in front of him. Was very annoying to those of us near him. Obviously not the fault of the Gaither’s.
I bought tickets for both days for myself and special needs son. Concert was absolutely awesome. Two days of amazing gospel music. Our seats were close to the front. I've never spent that much money on tickets before, but it was definitely worth the money. I would do it again for such a wonderful experience. My son really enjoyed himself and we got to meet a lot of artists. Thank you ❤️
It was everything I had expected. All the songs I wanted to hear and some new ones. You got your money's worth. It was great to see Bill and Gloria on the stage. I hope they live to be 100!
Absolutely wonderful concert. My son and I attended both days. We had fairly close seats. I would do it again. We had an awesome time ❤️🎶🎵
Loved seeing Bill Gaither and all the different groups at the concerts at Thomas Rhodes Baptist church. They all share their hearts for Jesus. It is what I love about all the Homecoming concerts. Bill Gaither pulls the whole thing together with his comments. Top notch performances. Well worth every Penny!
It was great. I just wished that Jason Crabb had sung more.
This was an awesome performance where music flowers continually from one song to the next effortlessly. It was worship through music at it's best.
Definitely worth seeing them if you love Christian music and being entertained and engaged from the second they start till the time they stop. Bill loves to get the audience entertained through his jokes and leaves you wanting more
Overall, it was a great two-day event. Loved hearing the singers and musicians. Several things could be improved at events like this. I don't know if Ticketmaster controls them or not. First, in large venues, only a small portion of the attendees can get a good view of the stage. Thus, cameras are used to show as much as possible on the large monitors. We attend to see and hear the singers. Several times, the singers were not shown on the monitors because someone chose to display the words of their songs over a background. Second, people were encouraged to worship and that's fine.. However, everyone should be reminded to be considerate of those further back in the crowd who don't feel physically able to jump to their feet over and over. It is so frustrating to sit there listen while only being able to see the backs of the folks in front of you. Third, bright lights flashing at the audience from time to time are distracting and disruptive. I don't enjoy being blinded, even momentarily. Fourth, the singers could sing several more songs in the time they spend repeating a song over and over. Some people seem to like that, but some of us get very tired of a singer charging back out screaming an encore at the top of their lungs. Send them to a back room to get it out of their system while someone goes ahead with a new song. There are thousands of good songs, so why run four or five into the ground, repeating them over and over and over and over. I always heard that you should leave an audience wanting more rather than wearing them out with so much repetition. Fifth, don't just introduce certain well-known singers. Frankly, people who have ever watched a Gaither video already know the ones who have been on a number of those videos. Meanwhile, other singers are not even introduced. One singer was not featured on a single song. I found out who Sherry Anne was after the concert was over. I looked her up yesterday and learned that she has such an amazing story and a wonderful voice. Yet, she was not chosen to sing even once while others were featured on multiple songs. I suppose I don't know much about the music business and what sells product. However, I do know that I have gotten tired of certain songs being repeated over and over while others equally as good or possibly even better were sung once and never used again. I don't know who sets the prices for these events. I have a suggestion about that. For those who sit so far back that all they can see are whatever is displayed on the monitors, the ticket prices should be more in line with Pay-per-View. The ones who can actually see the stage should be the ones paying the high prices. I don't recall now, but I believe we paid maybe $10 per ticket less than those up front, but, again, we could barely recognize the faces of the people on stage from where we were sitting. We missed a lot of what was going on up front because the cameras cannot take in everything. To summarize, for the most part, we enjoyed the concerts but I am uncertain right now if I would spend as much money again as we did this past weekend to watch some very special music on a monitor.
