I would pay to see the Gaither's show every day if I could... There is so much emotion and compassion in what they're doing.

This was the best Gaither Concert I have ever attended. I loved the variety of songs and the Christmas songs were great. Will attend again next year if they are here.

  • Entire concert made my Christmas Season a blessing

by cassie17 on 12/19/11Big Sandy Superstore Arena - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

One of my sisters was suppose to go with me but her husband was in the hospital, so my daughter took me she said "Mom, I don't really like that type of music but since it's a long drive I'll take you." After the concert, she told me to thank my sister for not going with me that it was the best concert she had ever attended! I love The Booth Brothers, The Issacs, and of course the Gaither Vocal Band, especially Wes Hampton and David Phelps. I think Gordon Mote and Kevin Williams are two of the most talented musician's in any field of music. My Daughter loved Mark Lowery; The Martins; The Booth Brothers; and the entire program, said she would go with me to any of your concerts. Havea Blessed Holiday Season, and God is the most Holy Father everyone should accept. By the way, we were the two Catholic's that cheered when Mark was asking what religion you were. Can't wait until your close enough for me to attend again. Would love to be able to attend the Gospel convention or go on a cruise with you, but my husband just passed away in August after a long illness, and my SS income does not even cover my monthly bills and medications. My daughter bought me two new CD's. I wanted to subscribe to the Gaither Homecoming Magazine but could not, and will not be able to renew my Gaither membership when it comes due in March 2012. God Bless you and the talents you share with the world,

  • Gaither Christmas Homecoming was MARVELOUS!!

by KYKatC on 12/19/11Big Sandy Superstore Arena - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time at seeing the Gaither Christmas Show. I bought the tickets as a Christmas gift for my Mom. The whole concert was wonderful! We enjoyed every second of it! I would recommend this show to everyone! It was very spiritual and definitely helped everyone remember the true meaning of Christmas. We went to the dinner prior to the show. It was very disappointing. It wasn't worth the money we paid, it was very unorganized, etc. I would not recommend the dinner.

Music was so loud it nearly bursted my ear drums. Seats were to close together. The guy next to me was almost on my lap. I liked the slow songs. Some songs sounded like rock instead of religious songs. Too many commercials trying to sell their product.

  • Amazing and Spiritual!!!

Wonderful, wonderful show, very touching and spirit filled. Great group of artists that are truly sincere in their worship of Our Lord and Savior. We enjoyed it immensely and will definitely take in another Gaither event!!!

The new seating arrangement was great. The Gaithers are so uplifting. Like a little slice of what Heaven will be like. We enjoyed the concert so much. Hope you keep bringing the Gaithers Homecoming show back to Huntington. We look forward to it every year.

Anyone who attends any of the Gaither concerts gets more than their money's worth. Concert started at 7:00 and ended at 10:30 --that is unheard of. Everyone that performed did an outstanding job--very enlightening and certainly uplifted my spirits! We always thoroughly enjoy all their concerts!

  • The best Christmas concert you could attend!

by GaitherJunkie on 12/18/11US Cellular Coliseum - BloomingtonRating: 4 out of 5

This was not my first Gaither Homecoming concert, nor my first Homecoming Christmas concert; it was my first time attending in Bloomington, however. My friend came along with me; it was her first concert and she was blown away. It's hard to describe to people just what an amazing experience a Homecoming concert is...they just have to see it for themselves. I've never met anyone who went and regretted it.

  • Gaither never fails to bring it!

    by silty97 on 12/17/11US Cellular Coliseum - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely unbelievable! From GVB, David Phelps (He's Alive!), to the Isaacs, to (our favorites) The Martins - absolutely wonderful concert. We bought two extra tickets for my sister and bro-in-law for Christmas. Definitely worth the money! Loved the song the Isaacs did about forgiveness. Gaither concerts cannot be beat!!

  • Gaither Christmas Homecoming was great

by GrtNight on 12/17/11US Cellular Coliseum - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The night was great. It was entertaining and joyful and a fun experience. God was honored during this performance and the folks were very real and very talented

  • Very professional show!

    by Imperial123 on 12/17/11US Cellular Coliseum - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was tops in professionalism - great talent well showcased, but the volume, especially in the first half was way too loud. This cut my enjoyment about in half with me covering my ear and turning my head away for some of the shriller notes. So sorry to see Gaither fall prey to the notion that louder you can be, the better you are. I do not plan to attend another concert because of this. I felt the same way about the concerts at Myrtle Beach. Don't beat me up with the music; I came to enjoy it. That being said, Buddy's harmonica pieces were terrific, the comedy between Kevin, Mark and Bill was tops, and the production of Heaven's Gates Are Open Wide was 5 stars all around. Mary, Did You Know will never lose it's power. I would like to see reasonable volume on the music, more familiar songs. Amazing how the shows stay fresh and the singers make it seem like this is their debut - fresh and excited!
