This is our second Christmas Homecoming Concert. I think we will make it a yearly event. We live in Northern New York State and it is hard to get to these concerts so when Christmas tickets go on sale we look for something in the New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont area. Last year we went to Binghamton, New York for the Christmas program and loved it....that is why we traveled to Hersey, Pa this year. The concerts that the Gaithers put on are wonderful and we sooooooooooo enjoy them. Thank you so much for coming to this part of the states. We will be looking for one close by next year.
I've been to many of the Gaither shows in Pittsburgh and, as always, this was lovely. It seemed there were not as many entertainers and the show was about 45 minutes shorter than the usual 4 hour show but it was still delightful, uplifting and entertaining. It focused mostly on the Gaither Vocal Band, which is my favorite and David Phelps is my all-time favorite. What talent!! I recommend a Gaither concert to anyone and everyone of all ages and beliefs. Great variety and wonderful comedy as well. Can't wait for their return to Pittsburgh. My friends and I are hoping to go on a Gaither cruise in the future.
Enjoyed Gaither Homecoming so much. Left the show not dissappointed at all.
I had a wonderful time with my daughter and all that were there celebrating and singing the praise of Jesus Christ the son of God. There is something wonderful and moving about being part of thousands singing Gods praise.
This was our second Gaither concert - and it was amazing! The talent was so gifted, the humor so enjoyable - and it was a night to remember. We really look forward to the next one. Thank you, Gaither team!
This being our third Gaither Christmas Concert I must say that Bill Gaither has a heart for the Lord and a heart for people. As much as the cast has changed the message remains the same. The quality of the talent is beyond compare. Each act unique in their own way yet unified in bringing the message of Christmas to their audience. Praise God for Bill Gaither's willingness to continue the tradition of a 'Homecoming Christmas.' Watching folks from all walks of life come together to enjoy an evening of music only touches the surface, it's folks gathering together as old friends coming together to worship and praise God in song as we celebrate the birth of our 'Lord Jesus Christ!'
I did not know of the Gaithers or ever heard them. The concert was recommended by a friend. WOW, it was AWESOME!!! I soooooo enjoyed the entire evening. David Phelps was amazing! We bought 2 CD's of his Christmas songs. The Gaithers Vocal Band sang Alpha/Omega, (again never heard it), and I was blown away. The day after the concert, went to Park City and bought the CD with this song on it. I would not hesitate to attend another concert! The concert lasted approximately 3 hours. WOW, that is awesome it itself. If you have an opportunity to see them, GO, you will not regret it. However, if you go too the Goant Center in Hershey for a concert, i would not recommend sitting on the floor. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable, no cup holders, too close together, and cannot see well.
Love The Gaither Vocal Band, Especially Bill Gaither and Mark Lowry! Love the Isaacs. The are so sincere and the harmony is outstanding. Wish the Booth Brothers could have been there.
This concert was definitely worth the cost of tickets and the drive to see it. The artists put everything they had into it and as usual, they were inspiring. The talent is incredible and unparalleled. I took a friend with me who is not "into" southern gospel music but loved the concert and said it was like a worship service.
Gaither Christmas Homecoming was wonderful as always. Beautiful music sang by wonderful artist.
The Gaither Homecoming event was one I had anticipated for a very long time.. I laughed...I cried... I met my all-time favorite Gaither singers including Mark Lowry and Charlotte Ritchie. It was the most awesome 3 1/2 hours I have ever spent. looking forward to my next time.
Bill Gaither is the master of putting together the best, inspirational concerts with his access to Christian music's best singers. This one was no exception. And David Phelps - amazing!!! I'm so glad we went - it absolutely made our Christmas!!
THis was my 10th Homecoming Event. As always, a great night.
I really enjoyed the concert but really missed the oldies. The video was great seeing them. I was a little disappointed that more artists were not there but it did not take away from the concert. Since I go to all the Pittsburgh concerts I just automatically expected certain artist.
I came to support my mom who was apart of the choir and was presently surprised I enjoyed the show! The vocals of all those apart of this was outstanding! Funny and pleasant!
Consol Energy Center was very nice. All of the attendants were very helpful and courteous!!!
The concert was wonderful as always. The artists go above and beyond to provide an evening of entertainment like no other. Even though they have such a grueling schedule to keep they always perform to the best of their abilities. After the concert they are so gracious to sign autographs and let you take pictures with them. They make each individual person feel special, when they are the ones who are so special and gifted. A big thank you to each one of them for their continued ministry to a world that is getting more and more commercialized and turning away from God and the Bible. God Bless each one of you as you continue ministering.
The show is fabulous. Comedy and such talent. Personally, I like a little more familiar songs, but they were great. The temperature in the Consol Energy Center felt like there was no energy left. With the average age of people attending the concert about 60, I think the temperature at 64 was way too cold.
I loved everything about this concert. It was wonderful. The singers, the songs, the stage decorations were all just beautiful. The Issac family had me crying with the song about cancer "Im gonna love you through it" and Mark Lowry had me laughing at his jokes. I never knew he wrote the lyrics to Mary did you know. Buddy Greene was awesome on the harmonica - brought back a lot of good memories as my father used to play the harmonica. Antoher reason I love Christian events is that the crowd is so kind and considerate.
