The venue was well run and it was great to be close to home. Great experience for my granddaughter. She can’t wait to see Gabby again!! Thank you!!
We were a little late like 10, mins but overall kids enjoyed. We were not too far, show was loud enough to hear all around. Would recommend.
We loved our experience! Although for VIP, I would’ve thought there would be more interaction with Gabby mascot. I believe it may have been because the previous show ran a bit longer & where we were kind of in a time crunch with VIP activities. Also.. the place was a bit cramped up. The show itself was amazing! I guess the rest can be fixed going on.
The show was fine. Disappointed with the venue —poor visibility from expensive seats, poor sound system. Also disappointed with the VIP ticket experience. Long slow lines. Inadequate seating and snacks for the children, poorly organized/supervised, not enough art supplies and no one replacing them. Several children upset and parents with no explanation to give. Wouldn’t recommend the VIP experience.
I think this was the worst show ever and the biggest waste of money ever. The tickets for me and my five year old granddaughter were $258. Outrageous. Then souvenirs, another $35, popcorn $9, water $4 and Swedish fish $4 plus for maybe 10 fish. The seats were awful and not only were there no speakers near the back so we couldn’t hear but the curtains where we sat were open and near the concession stand so all of the outside noise was very disruptive. Additionally, people had their kids on their shoulders so my granddaughter couldn’t see. The worst.
We bought the VIP package and let me tell you. This was the least planned “vip experience” you could imagine.. we got an email the day before saying VIP starts 2 hours before the show. There will be snacks and activities and you can “meet gabby”. Ok so we get there 2 hours early and there is a HUGE line after you enter to take a picture with someone dressed as cartoon gabby. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the room while you wait in line for what felt like an hour (maybe it was 45 mins) with 2 small kids. We finally get to gabby and she didn’t even say anything - my daughter was very confused why gabby couldn’t talk. Anyway, we rush through the picture and head to the “vip room” where there are 3 tables, some stickers, scissors, paper, glue stick, pom poms, etc. the kids sit down to craft and we find the last juice boxes and cheez-its. As they start their snacks. The cleaning crew start cleaning, removing chairs, and basically breaking down the tables of some of the kids who had gotten there a bit before us. There’s an announcement that VIP is ending soon (it’s still an hour before the show) and they will open the main doors soon, so if you want to buy some merch before everyone else to go do that now - and you won’t be able to re-enter VIP. we Sat and tried to finish our snacks at least but they came by and basically took the crafts out from under us. My daughter only got a “pipe cleaner bracelet” which was just one pipe cleaner I put on her wrist and my son got nothing. When they kicked us out of the room. Then we had an hour to kill before the show so we ended up buying more food and drink at the concession stands because let’s face it the “VIP refreshments” left a lot to be desired and we still had way more time than I would like to keep the kids from melting down before the show (which did not start promptly at the start time but rather, 15 minutes later). All in all, once the show started it was incredible. The gabby onstage was a real person, not a cartoon. And my daughter was mesmerized. My son (16 months) was pretty scared, if you have little ones maybe bring noise cancelling headphones or something. The bright lights and loud sounds were probably too much for him. The show itself was 30 mins, then a 15 min “snack break” where the merch line was insane - everyone needed to buy this light up bubble machine, then another 30 mins. But we loved the show! They sang all the popular songs and really hit all the favorite dollhouse activities! I would do it again but 100% SKIP the VIP!!!
This show was well done and we loved the fun lights and interactive nature of the event.
My girls loved it! They loved the colors and bubbles and songs.
Engaging for the kids. A little short for the price.
The music, the characters and show was outstanding! My daughter loved it! It’s worth to buy the front row seats because the experience is priceless.
This show was so cute and very interactive. Highly recommend.
Long check in Gift bags to be mailed? When? Have you pass souvenirs first so now every child need one The drinks and snacks could have put more thought into! Better products Arts and crafts were good should have been set up for age groups. So parents and children do t frustrate. Tattoos should have been done by a staff member as we’re out of before 1/2 of children could get. Sending everyone downstairs before they let you enter theater was unfortunately poor planning The show was great!!!! Purchase concession items were great could have been geared to the show theme!
I took my 6 year old niece for her birthday to see the show. What a wonderful job bringing Gabby to life on stage! The characters, the cast and crew were amazing and really knew how to get the kids to interact. So entertaining and a memorable experience-
We sat in Orchestra right in Row G on the end, but we were faced with large lighting apparatus on the stage directly in front of us, and I understand it was the venue, but being that close also seems to distort the audio as we didn't even know the opening act was a song because we couldn't hear it. The only snacks were boxed candy and popcorn (which our little completed dumped within minutes), but they did have lots of alcohol choices for the adults. The premise of the show was cute, they were collecting rainbow colors and the actors had microphones for the characters and the eyes moved or other actors helped move the character's appendages. The merchandise of choice was bubble wands directly related to one particular scene in the show, but the problem was bunches of them being shot into the air and landing in drinks, food, and all over people's phones and glasses may not have been the best idea as we spent a lot of time shielding our stuff from the bubbles. The show was 30 minutes with a 15-minute break and then another 30 minutes to allow for breaks and stretching. Parking at this location is alwys tricky because they had some lots blocked for another event and some places have free parking on Sundays, but others report getting ticketed for parking if it wasn't on a meter on the street so pay close attention and plan accordingly for time to park.
This was a cute show. My 4-year-old really enjoyed it and didn't stop dancing. It was a little weird seeing the people moving the characters, but the kids didn't seem to mind. The actors did a really good job matching the voices of the characters. Definitely a great show for fans of Gabby's Dollhouse.
This was the first theater show that my 6yr old attended where audience interaction was encouraged. In the past she has gone to movies in the theater and to see Annie on Broadway, where the expectation was to sit quietly in your seat. She absolutely loved it, and the majority of kids appeared to as well. I liked that they handed out printed flowers to the kids (for free) and used them throughout the show to encourage audience participation. I took away a star because I wasn't crazy about them asking the kids to "grab their bubble wands"during the first half of the show (which lead to a rush of parents purchasing bubble wands for their kids, myself included, during intermission) only to never mention the bubble wands again during the second half of the show. I found that to be most unfortunate (which appeared to also be the general consensus of the parents around me). They had to be aware that incorporating the bubble wand into the first part of the show would most likely lead to an increase in bubble wand purchases during intermission, so why not also incorporate it into the second part of the show (even once would have been appreciated). So if you are thinking about purchasing a bubble wand, definitely purchase it before the show starts rather than during intermission. The hoodies run very small (and the largest kid size they have (or had at our venue) is a size 8, which fits like a size 6. The size 6 fit like a size 4.....so size up if you end up purchasing the hoodie. My daughter wears a size 5/6 and an 8 fit her perfectly. I don't remember all of the prices but parking was $13 (Altria Theater Venue), kid's hoodies were $55, I believe a tub of popcorn was $10, and bubble wands were $35. There were some Gabby's Dollhouse stuffed animal characters for sale, and they had drinks and candy available to purchase as well (I don't know the prices because I didn't purchase those items). I did like how the show was incredibly interactive throughout. They used lights, bubbles, confetti, fog, and streamers, which the kids loved. You don't experience those things from the Grand Mezzanine (where we were) or the balcony seats like you would from the floor/orchestra seating, but there was so much audience involvement and participation that my kid still felt like she was a part of the show. The kids are also encourage to dance, sing, and help in the quest to find the missing rainbow colors. My daughter said that it was her favorite show ever. She liked it even better than Disney on Ice (due to the audience involvement/participation). She rated it "One thousand out of one hundred."
Gabby and all the performers actively involved us in the audience! We enjoyed it so much because we sang and were included in so much of the performance.
Title says it all, my daughter loved it and wished it never ended lol. VIP experience was average I think, the space was kind of small for the amount of people there. I whish the real actress from the Netflix series was there instead of the character in a costume, but it was advertised like that in the VIP package, so no surprises there. Show was great.
Took my 4 year old to see this show. It was great! All the kids AND parents were singing and dancing. The show did an amazing job at involving the kids so they would feel like part of the show. Gabby was great and the other actors sounded so much like the characters in the show. The show was full of color and happiness. Definitely recommend. As an adult, I LOVED IT!
Boring and 54$ for a 1hr show plus 15$ parking doesn’t worth it
