G Jones in Concert
Coming off a tour with Porter Robinson earlier this year, G Jones now focuses on the biggest moment of his career so far — the release of his proper full-length debut, ‘The Ineffable Truth,' and its supporting tour. And Jones said on his Instagram that he's been "Dreaming up The Ineffable Truth live show all day and night!" Dubbed a "Live A/V Tour," the show sets out to cement the producer as one of the next big bass music acts. Jones cut his chops on tour with artists like Bassnectar and DJ Shadow, the latter of which collaborated with him for the mysterious Nite School Klik project. Where Jones has always found himself moving to the beat of twisted 808 beats alongside sinister and apocalyptic visuals, ‘The Ineffable Truth' adds melody and harmonics to his acidic Ableton compositions. In incorporating elements of old-school and ragga drum 'n' bass on tracks like "Time" and "That Look in Your Eye," Jones has opened up the possibility for truly linear visual themes in his live show, à la his well-accomplished collaborators in DJ Shadow and Bassnectar. Catch G Jones on The Ineffable Truth tour all across the United States until March 2019.
G Jones Background
Born and still residing in the Bay Area, 26-year-old producer Greg Jones started playing guitar when he was nine, later layering his guitar over drums. While at school at UC Santa Cruz, he discovered dubstep, and his career in bass music and the G Jones moniker were born. He released his first EP in 2013 and by 2014 started collaborating with fellow Santa Cruz resident Bassnectar, who took him on tour and featured G Jones on the track "The Mystery Spot," the first of many collaborations for the pair. Jones has released full collaboration EPs with notable up-and-coming bass music producers Bleep Bloop and Eprom and released the glitch-packed ‘Visions' EP on his own Illusory Records label. ‘The Ineffable Truth' marks his first full-length endeavor, out October 26, 2018, on Illusory.

G Jones…. 5th time I’ve seen him, and it was nothing short of magical. That man has always been great, but he took it to a completely different level last night. If you like electronic music, and you’re not a snob to 1 genre, definitely check him out. Staff and crowd get an extra shout out. G Jones fans, like Greg himself, never disappoint. Always the most chill, kind, and fun people to be around. Staff was also so kind. My boys and I on the rail got free waters from the 2 gentleman working the rail. I did not get their names, but they both deserve as raise and I’m not kidding. They were so friendly, one of them and I kind of busted balls back and fourth a little bit. Both of them tho super chill. One of them asked someone to get off someone’s shoulders and he was understanding and let the kid stay. 100% would recommend G Jones to anyone looking for a mind blowing experience, and 100% would recommend Big Night Live to anyone looking for a fun night out in Boston.
I fully recommend a G Jones show to anyone interested in dance music as his production is both cutting edge in composition and as the kids say, it "slaps". That and the visuals to go along with the music are full of such variety, personality, and one might say, lore building. They are psychedelic and draw upon designs from old Apple Macintosh systems. The only issue I had with the show, perhaps a problem at Big Night Live specifically, was that the engineers cranked the system, especially the bass, so loud during G Jones' set (it was at a reasonable level for the openers) that it was A) difficult to perceive elements of the mix that are special and B) verging on tinnitus-inducingly loud WITH earplugs in. I really wish I had used the dB meter app on my phone to prove how loud it was in there; it was powerful even at the very back of the room. My ears are ringing days later and I hope it'll stop soon. It's the loudest show I've seen and I've been to many, including metal and other EDM shows. Something was awry with the engineering team that night, hopefully it'll be fixed for future shows because nothing needs to be that loud. Wear excellent quality earplugs if you come to this venue!
Stunning, sounds i never heard before. Best concert ever.
Do you like your matter inside your body just the way it is? Well, that's too bad after you see this man in a live performance. His tunes vibrations will travel through every atom in your body and give it a new meaning to live. You will feel like you're wrapped inside a blanket reality created just for everybody in the room, while simultaneously getting shot through several dimensions in the best way possible. Greg gets it. His music and performances are some of the most meaningful experiences I've ever had. 222/10
It was my first time seeing him at Snowta 2019, and it was one of the best performances I've witnessed in my life. One of the finest in bass music creation. And the visuals are simply ineffable.
Never been to a concert like this. G Jones is unlike any other artist; he just goes way harder than you ever thought possible or necessary. During certain moments I understood his music in ways that are impossible unless you’re there, listening to it live. Crazy crazy dude.
He was FANTASTIC!! His work was flawless and his light show was perfectly in sync with his music!!
By far one of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to! Unique, full of bass, and the light show and visuals were on point. Highly recommend seeing G Jones!
Show was amazing! But maybe the shouldn’t have booked it in an actual theater. It wasn’t nearly as fun having to sit in a seat.
Hands down the best show I have ever been to. G Jones & EPROM b2b in that venue ??? INCREDIBLE.
Blew my mind. Visual were sick. Sound was crazy. I love this venue and these artist
Orpheum Theater was awesome, G Jones & EPROM did not disappoint. Barclay Crenshaw was also awesome. I will say the white strobe lights pointed directly at my eyes was not sick nasty
Amazing. Played music that hadn't even dropped yet
