Future Islands are a band whose brilliance was always hiding in plain sight. One viral moment might have catapulted them to worldwide recognition, but they were just doing what they always did - pouring their heart and soul into every moment, and channelling art's great power to spread love and hope. It was, quite simply, who they are. Long, hard years on the road, and the sense of constantly traveling away from something, have shaped the band many ways, both spiritually and physically. Always leaving, never arriving, the horizon an impossible destination to be chased but never caught. Future Islands' new album As Long As You Are is out now on 4AD.
Fantastic live show. One of the best shows I've ever seen - thank you!
The dancing! The growling! One hell of a performance!!!
Man, they are entertaining. So dramatic in the best possible way. Go see them.
Future islands was awesome to see live! They have such good vibes and amazing stage presence. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and feel rejuvenated from hearing some good live music
One of the best shows I have seen (Full Stop). An amazing band and a great setlist and to top it off it was at the best venue I have ever been to in my life. Still on a high from the show..
Future Islands is amazing to see in person; they are true performers. The venue is also great!
I discovered Future Islands early in 2020 and their music just connected with me. I have listened to everything they’ve done and finally got the chance to see them live. The Ritz was the perfect venue as it allowed me to see them up close and Sam Herring is the kind of frontman that you want to see up close. With the band playing and Sam’s highly energetic and entertaining stage presence this show exceeded all expectations that I had… and I already had high expectations. I will definitely see them again.
Future Islands were excellent. Great stage presence. Sound was a little muddy but that could have been the venue. Opening act was terrible. Loud noise. Awful
Lead singer danced with abandon. Most flexible gyrations ever. The Anthem venue was great. Did not like the opening act. Wayyy too loud!
Amazing experience- great band. You can tell they truly enjoy performing for the people. They were in their element.
The band was everything and more. You could feel how much passion Sam has for performing and of course his dancing was off the charts!
Was my first time seeing them after discovering them over quarantine, did not doubted once to get a ticket when the concert was announced. The show exceeded my expectations, so much passion and energy. They are amazing musicians and would love to see them again.
One of the best concerts I’ve attended. The group Future Islands exceeded my expectations. The sound system was excellent. Very well organized. Two thumbs up! ❤️✌🏼🎶
Don't know if it was the room, the band, or the engineer... But the sound was so muddy. The songs all sounded like a blurry version of the previous one played.
Actually was not able to attend the concert. I had boughts surprise tivkets for my older sister and I, and unbelievably to me she passed away before I could tell her. I we went in spirit. Maybe down the road or future life. Thank you Patti
Amazing per usual, Sam is on another lvl with the dance moves haven’t seen anyone that can compete with this man.
First time and won’t be the last. Awesome band and was more than pleased
I don’t have words to describe how much I needed this show. It was a premiere performance and the vibes were amazing! Every time FI comes into town, I’m there!
Not hyperbole, the best show I’ve ever seen. Amazing transfer of energy between the crowd and the band. 10/10 would recommend
The sound quality could have been better from the start of FI performance. Sam's voice was shaky from a cold, but seemed both sound quality, and his voice, improved toward the end of the show.
