Fun Concert Schedule and Tour

fun.'s chart-topping indie pop anthem "We Are Young" was everywhere in 2012, earning the band overnight success and one of music's highest honors: Best New Artist at the 2013 Grammy Awards. The song took home the Grammy for Song of the Year, and, along with anthemic hits like "Carry On" and "Some Nights," propelled the band's 2012 sophomore album Some Nights to the No. 1 position on both the Rock and Alternative Albums charts. Lead singer Nate Ruess formed fun. in 2008 following the breakup of his band The Format, teaming up with Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dost to write and record the band's demos. The trio's first single "At Least I'm Not as Sad As I Used to Be" came out in April 2009, quickly followed by the release of their debut album Aim and Ignite, which received praise for its progressive and theatrical pop sound. After opening for Paramore on their 2010 tour, fun. headlined their own U.K. concert tour before returning to the studio to record their sophomore album. The result, 2012's Some Nights, peaked at No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200, garnering critical praise and spawning platinum-selling smash singles "We Are Young" and the album's title track. On tour in 2013 with Tegan and Sara, the band treated ticket buyers to energetic live concerts of both old and new material, building anticipation for the release of their third studio album in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Anyone on the fence about seeing these guys should jump off now. They are worth every penny and then some. Absolutely amazing to see that they can sound as good in person as they do in the studio. I will see them again as soon as they decide to return.”

“This was one of the best concerts I've been to, my teenage daughters and I really enjoyed it.”

“Fun was amazing !! Nate has a million dollar smile that lights up the theather and a voice that's a gift from god ! Great night! great band! Worth the ticket price!!”

This concert was amazing from start to finish. Usually I find the first band or two to be mediocre but every band put on an awesome show and I had so much fun. dancing and singing along. Go see this show if you have the opportunity to!!

Fun. You know, they're... fun. :)

by HESAngel on 12/6/10Royale Boston - Boston

Fun. never disappoints. So much energy. Great sound. And Steel Train is equally impressive. We didn't make it in time for the Postelles, and that's the one complaint: not enough time for three full sets! The Royale is such a classy/fun/comfortable venue too, so that was great. And I was happy to hear a couple Format songs thrown into the set. I'll see Fun. anytime they're around.

It was the best show I have seen. I loved them before but after seeing them live, I'm obsessed with them. Nate does such an amazing job performing live. If you like them even the tiniest bit or were a Format fan, go see fun. live. You'll fall in love with them.

This show was both entertaining and interesting. I don't think there was a person in the room who was not having a good time.

by JanaWD on 12/6/10Royale Boston - Boston

I'm not big on concerts in general but this one was amazing. Everyone there knew all the words to every song and it was like a chorus of happiness when they faced the mic towards the crowd. The band seemed genuinely impressed that everyone was so into it.

    Overperformed my Expectations

    by Myles114 on 12/6/10Royale Boston - Boston

I had seen fun multiple times before but this time they by far exceeded my expectations set by their prior performances. Don't miss the chance to see them now before they blow up and tickets are incredibly difficult to get!

I can't even summarize the epicness of this night. It was possibly the greateset show I've ever been to, and I've been to a LOT of shows. I didn't even know Steel Train or the Postelles before this show, and now I really enjoy both of them. Also, the guys were all so cool when I met them (of those I did meet.) The stage presence of all of the band members was exquisite, and the crowd was filled with super awesome people.

    Such an amazing show!

by MaddyStardust on 11/30/10Webster Hall - New York

What can I say? Absolutely no pun intended, this was the most fun i've had in a long time. The band was so energetic the entire time, and you could tell they were having just as much of a good time as us. The sound quality was great too. and Nate was just a beautiful ball of energy the entire time. I think everyone's heart melted when he hit some of those high notes. See them, if you're in the mood to dance around like a mad man for a few hours.

I'd say it was fun. but that pun will be overused

by gonzofish on 11/29/10Webster Hall - New York

This concert was really great. The first opening act, The Postelles were really good; I had never heard of them, but they had a great sound and an energetic stage presence. Steel Train came on after as the second opening act and were so good. I've like Steel Train for a while, but this was the first time I've seen them live. The music was great, better than I remembered. Then there was the main act, fun.. They were maybe the best band I've seen in almost 10 years. Just great sound (better than the album) and good stage presence. They worked the crowd perfectly and made it feel very personal. On a side note, we got into the backstage area for no reason except that we were polite. +1 to manners.

    FUN-tastic!

by JessB213 on 11/29/10Webster Hall - New York

Totally great show! Nate's voice is even better live than on the CD. They did a song from The Format and from Queen, plus their nearly (if not the whole thing) entire album. Played for nearly an hour and a half (including the encore). Absolutely great show!!
