From Ashes to New In Concert

When Matt Brandyberry was growing up, he had designs on being a rapper, but he also played in a rock band. Years later, when the vocalist began writing music and seized the opportunity to start his own group, he decided to combine both of these talents. The resulting band, From Ashes to New, has quickly become one of hard rock's leading lights, largely due to their savvy combination of influences.

The band's two albums — 2016's 'Day One' and 2018's 'The Future' — boast Linkin Park-esque nu-metal with hip-hop-influenced vocals and dizzying electronic textures, as well as moments hewing toward more straightforward rock 'n' roll with blazing guitars and urgent tempos. The results are contemporary-sounding and fresh, which no doubt explains why the band has enjoyed chart success. The 2015 single "Through It All" peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, while "Crazy" landed at No. 3 on the same chart in July 2018.

Brandyberry founded From Ashes to New in 2013 with other musicians from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, music scene. Although the band's lineup has shifted over the years, the quartet today has settled into a confident groove, thanks in no small part to the singer's main vocal foil, Danny Case, who alternates between melodic singing and guttural growls.

Live, From Ashes to New's double-vocalist approach takes center stage. In fact, the two men stand up front, bark out their vocals with confidence, and serve as anchors for the hard-charging instrumentalists.

In 2018, the band teamed up with Bad Wolves for the What's In Your Head tour, and was also one of the openers on the Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch co-headlining arena tour. From Ashes to New more than held their own, which puts the band in a great position to expand their fan base and continue to grow.

    Awesome!!

by Jenn on 11/26/23Big Night Live - Boston

I love shows at smaller venues. You’re closer and can connect with the band. You can see and feel the emotion in the music. The bands were phenomenal. They did not disappoint. Definitely worth seeing again…. And again.

    Epic experience

by Erica on 11/25/23Big Night Live - Boston

Epic experience being able to meet the band, but the VIP started an hour late. The meet and greet was rushed. A bit disappointed that they chose Big Night Live as a venue. It’s more for DJ’s, there’s not enough room. They have too many tables in the way, so not enough access for people on the floor. It’s too crammed up. There’s also only one restroom, many of the doors don’t lock in the ladies room. The water was burning hot on the automatic faucets. Needless to say, had a good time…

    Good show!

by Dustin on 11/24/23State Theatre - Portland

Almost the entire show was awesome! However, with 2 songs left with From Ashes To New, I had to leave with my wife and head to emergency room as another attendee attempted to crowd surf and ended up kicking my wife in the head. Mild concussions and mild whiplash. If you do go to a FATN show, do not be from center as they allow crowd surfing no matter the risk.

I've seen FATN twice now, definitely will be seeing them as many times as I can! They put on one hell of a show! They sound as amazing live as they do on Spotify or YouTube! No complaints whatsoever they for sure should be bigger than they are! <3

    AMAZING!!

    by Ashley on 7/30/23

Saw them in Billings last Saturday and they were amazing!! They were first but they did so good that when the second band came out we were disappointed. I don't know if I've ever heard a band sound better live than on octane and this band did that!! I'm a fan for life now!

    Fantastic Show!

by Pilzner on 5/8/23Revolution Concert House & Event Center - Garden City

Was one of the best shows I've seen in Boise. From Ashes to New was stellar as was the local band Apex. I was not expecting to be blown away by either of the bands and I limped away completely destroyed. Awesome Awesome Awesome!

I saw them open for Shinedown, and they know what they are doing. If they ever come to WI again I am 100 percent buying tickets to see them again. Easy on the eyes and they sound amazing! They deserve so much more attention.

    More than expected

    by C. W. on 4/20/23

My oldest son is 17 and doesnt remeber the shows I took him to when he was younger. This show with Shinedown, 2 Days Grace, and From Ashes to New had him pumped. Ive been to a lot of concerts, but FAtN came out and knocked your socks off. They were definitely the high note with my son and I'm trying to take him to see them again when they get close to the OH/WV/KY again

    Amazing but arrive early.

by ZC on 12/23/22Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Capitol Room - Harrisburg

Every band was fantastic, though I did miss most the first act because even though I got in line only 20min after doors opened it takes forever to get through. Don’t know if they need more ticket/ID checkers or if the venue just needs to open earlier.
