    Could there BE anymore references?

    by A. L. on 4/3/19Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

Let me start by saying that I am a diehard Friends fan and the syndicated show is my go-to whenever I need a pick me up. With that being said, I did enjoy the show overall. The songs were great and I appreciated the nod to some great Broadway classic tunes as the bases for those songs. The actors did a good job portraying their counterpart, the standouts being "Phoebe," "Joey," and "Rachel" especially! From the facial tics to gestures to speech patterns, they really brought our well loved personas to life! Kudos to "Chandler" who quite literally wore many hats (and dresses and accessories and moustaches, too)! Excellent! Many laughs and memories of the show relived. Thank you!

    Disappointed

by C. on 4/3/19Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

There were parts that provided a good laugh. I am a huge fan of the show and have watched it MANY times. They did a good job referencing to a great amount of lines/aspects that any true fan would recognize. However, most lines were boring. “Chandler”, who also plays Janice (and Marcel 🤦🏼‍♀️🐒) is TERRIBLE. “Monica” is simply not her. “Joey” has (very) few moments that reminds of the character. “Phoebe” is okeeey. Second best. “Rachel” is phenomenal!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 The actress nailed. It’s a parody, so obviously at times it is exaggerated. But she.is.good!!! She really studied the character. The final song (a version of RENT’s Seasons of Love) is hilarious. That was an awesome way to close. Entire cast have a great voice. Overall the idea is good, talent is clearly there, but the writing and character mirrorwing needs work. A lot of improvements. The play has potential though. In sum: Rachel is carrying the play in her shoulders. If it wasn’t for her...

    Cute parody

Entertaining but lacked the connection to the characters. The actress who played Rachel was fantastic. A fun day out for 2 hours but would hardly say you have to go see this.

    Hilarious

    by l. f. on 4/3/19Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

If you are a real Friends fan, you will live this parody! Creative, funny and spot on w the lines. The ONLY reason gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that when the cast sings. The sound is very hard to make out the words. Could just be where we saw it? Otherwise, great show!!!

    Friends! The Musical Parody

by Sarah on 3/12/19Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought the tickets. I figured there would be a few skits with the characters. What I actually saw was a whirlwind of different scenes and slapstick humor. The actors did a great job, but the script could use some work. I get that they were playing on stereotypes, but at some points the cringe factor was too much. Chandler is my favorite character from the show. but he played so many characters that I missed a lot of his character. Joey and Phoebe really shined in this performance. Overall, I laughed my ass off and would take a friend to see the show.

    We had some laughs

by KB on 3/10/19Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Hmmmm, it was funny, however, we didn't receive a playbill, therefore do not know the actors names. The actress playing Rachel did a very good job of displaying all of Rachel's characteristics. The actor portraying Ross should have been Chandler and the actor portraying Chandler should have played Ross, (just my opinion). I get the over the top Janice, and the male actor portraying her, but why not have the actress that was portraying Gunther play Janice, she wasn't that busy. All in all, we had some laughs.
