    A masterpiece

by Koshd on 3/29/12Showcase Live - Foxboro

I knew of Buckethead from old Primus shows, but never saw him live. That 1 Guy was very interesting, and worked well when he played with the bucket. The sound of the show was great, although my darn smart phone mic couldn't record the sound at all. The video was 1080P awesome, but all I got from the speakers later on was static. So much for a top of the line gadget. Buckethead played amazingly, and the act while strange (its cool though) worked very well. What can you say about him, he is a gifted musician, it was an honor to see him play. I like to think that Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Eddy Van Halen, a ninja, and a robot were all genetically engineered into what we now call Buckethead. You have an awesome time at a truly one of a kind event, and in the end you didn't get stabbed, or axed by an early 80's horror movie monster. Thank you to Buckethead, and That 1 Guy for making some great music in an industry where American Idol reigns. You ROCK! I gotta go get some KFC!

Everything about the show was awesome. I saw Buckethead and Wolfe at the Showcase Live! last year and they were awesome. Everything happened on time and the sound and performances by Wolfe, Buckethead, and That 1 Guy were all amazing. I LOVE THE SHOWCASE LIVE! AND I HOPE BUCKETHEAD COMES BACK AGAIN!!!!

    Do not miss Buckethead!

by SirMaple on 3/29/12Showcase Live - Foxboro

He was amazing! I would highly highly recommend him to others. His skills with the guitar are clear from the moment he starts to the very end. A highly skilled musician, do not miss out on his performance. Additionally, I found the venue to be nicely laid out, with an excellent sound system.

    The man can jam...

by Mileage on 3/29/12Showcase Live - Foxboro

And I do mean all three artists. Outstanding performances by Wolff & Tuba, Buckethead, and That 1 Guy. Great blend of musical sounds and styling. I had never heard Wolff & Tuba before and ended up buying all 6 of his CD's after listening to his set. I've listened to 3 out of 6 so far and can't say I'm disappointed. That 1 Guy was awesome. He's like a one-man Frank Zappa band that just keeps on rocking. Buckethead was the reason I purchased the ticket in the first place. I've listened to his music, and been a fan, for years. It's always great when your appreciation of one artist leads you to find other, similarly innovative and creatively mind-blowing, artists.

    like whey dude

by fanoffranknstein on 3/29/12Showcase Live - Foxboro

Fun, amazing sound, well choreographed visuals behind the performers. Very trippy. If you are 12 years old or 70, you would have a good time at this show, as long as you can handle the volume, bass thumping, and your internal organs melting through your eternal being... One of the weirder shows I have been to in a while. Wolf with Tuba and That 1 guy were phenomenal in their own right, and have really great material that lent itself to the theme of the evening. My first time seeing Buckethead, and Buckethead, of course, did what the crowd wanted, and then gave more. I must go again.

I'll always be a big fan of Big B and his projects with his eccentric partners. Maybe I've seen Buckethead too much but he replayed a lot of the material from tours of his past 5 years or so. I think he works on his own a little too much and his work suffers a hair from having outside input and direction. It seems his biggest moments/albums in his career like Colma, Praxis, Electric Tears have someone producing and directing the project (Bill Laswell). With that being said, I'd love to see someone work with B on curating more of a unique live set. For example, he just released a followup to electric tears and could really capitalize on that with this tour. Anyhow, really glad I went and would definitely go again. Besides, it's difficult to find such a unique show at that level at a venue such as B,B. Kings.

    buckethead is god!

by bucketbuddy on 3/28/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

OMG! Buckethead IS THE BEST! I was right up front, waited since 3pm but I would do it again! Toytime was great, he selected my toy,(a vintage gas mask) AND I got to use the killswitch... When you see fireworks display on TV, its good but in person, its spectacular..the same goes for Buckethead...in person he is phenomenal. I have a tattoo of Buckethead and was hoping to get him to sign it but it didnt happen...maybe next time...I was standing right next to the young man who got his guitar signed..I was happy for him but just one more over for me would have been euphoric. Other people may have found god, but I found Buckethead!!! Can't wait for the next show....

    Atlanta Show

by palmerfralick on 3/19/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Great show!! My first time at Variety, sad because I've lived in North Atlanta for 35 years. But will definitely return, what a great venue. Friendly staff, seats if you want them and great sound. Speaking of sound I'm not sure if it was the board or Brian's switch to an Engl amp but his sound was a bit sharp compared to the Mesa Boogie sound that I've heard before. I definitely prefer his Boogie sound compared to the Engl. He had a brand new Marshall also on stage but it was never turned on that I could see. Brian has so many varied music styles in his catalog and it would be nice if he was able to put on a show and feature more of that variety. Many of us love Colma. Electric tears and I was blown away by the single coil type sound he showcased on A Real Diamond in the Rough. He played "Big D's Touch" but it was an altered version much harder and not as sincere as the original. Anyway I will never miss the chance to see him, but I wish he would do a broader show. Keep that mask on Brian! I'm sure many stars envy the fact you can put on a show, take off the costume and go to Waffle House or an NBA game and just be one of the guys. Brilliant concept!
