Four80East (Tony Grace and Rob DeBoer) are AMAZING musicians with there years of experience. There music and personality is AWESOME! I enjoy every one of there songs. They are the BEST in the "electro-jazz"groove! Always looking forward to there next show I am able to attend.

  • Four80East

    by R. M. on 7/13/22The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre - YoungstownRating: 5 out of 5

Both the venue and concert were excellent. Add to that, the weather gave us a perfectly beautiful evening. Four80East was superb. The band was tight and the playlist was a wonderful mix of their catalog. Ron Deboer on keyboards and electronics directed the show with precision and joy. Tony Grace made percussion sounds I have not heretofore heard. The saxophone and guitar players each had solo riffs that were spot on with the rhythm of the others. This was my first foray into contemporary jazz music (if that’s what it was) and I owe it all to my girlfriend, who introduced me to the band. We flew in from Austin Texas. It was an experience I shall not forget.

by Yanni on 4/7/22Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

They played most of my favorites. I feel like I got my money worth. I use their music to exercise it provides music for high intensity. They didn’t disappoint. Awesome!

  • Hearing affected

by overamped on 4/12/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 1 out of 5

This group played WAY TOO LOUD for a brunch! I would have been disappointed at an evening concert, but for Brunch it was too much.. If the drummer had taken off his ear protection, perhaps he would have understood what the rest of us endured. I will not go to an 480 east concert again

  • Good Show

by Jetlenjr on 4/12/17Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

Was a god show but not my best I've seen. This rating maybe unfair because the night before I saw Marcus Miller and he was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The music was good for Four80east and the group showed personality that helps. I would go see them again.

  • Four80east was Amazing

    by Niecie51 on 4/5/16Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best shows of the weekend. The venue was up close and personal and the music was off the chain. I will see them every chance I get.

  • Great Show, Venue Can Improve

    by JCR5411 on 4/5/16Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

The intimacy of the venue was a winner and perfect for Four80East. They loved the interaction and so did we. Great musicians who loved to play. The obnoxious part of the venue was they didn't turn off their big screens during the show and they were extremely distracting! The open seating was kind of a joke too as you could have a great seat and then some staff plops a chair in front of you for someone else.

  • FOUR80EAST

by FunkyasaGoatOG on 4/5/16Berks Jazz Fest - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

I FIRST STUMBLED ACROSS FOUR80EAST AS BACKGROUND MUSIC WHILE AT THE THE COMPUTER. THEY CAUGHT MY EAR. INFECTIOUS GROOVES REMINISCENT OF DOWN TO THE BONE AND AS INTOXICATING AS PAUL HARDCASTLE. I WAS LATE TO THE PARTY AND BECAME A FAN OF THEIR EARLIER RECORDINGS. BUT LAST SATURDAY NIGHT I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.THE CORE MEMBERS ARE AS ACCOMPLISHED AS ANY SMOOTH JAZZ ARTISTS. THE VENUE, BUILD.24, IN READING IS PERFECT FOR A GROUP OF THIS SIZE OR ANY SIZE REALLY. GREAT PLACE. VERY NICE RESTAURANT WITH ATTENTIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF. A MORE DISCIPLINE AND STRUCTURED SET WOULD BE BETTER RECEIVED BY ME. BUT I WOULD ATTEND AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.
