This is my 2nd year going. The food was amazing, had a great time!!!
The appetizers at the different locations were a fun idea. Disappointed in the crowd and the appetizers at the finale. Way too many people and nothing fancy for food. Bread, meat and cheese. How about a little chocolate or spice? Awkward placement of serving tables too. Very hard to hold a breakable wine glass and get food, especially with the crowds. Loved the beer and wine vendors.
The Saturday festival was amazing. It was so much fun. I would definitely make the journey back for this. I would not participate in Fridays events as it was too late. I would really appreciate getting the registration map and participants sooner than Friday. We had a hard time finding places, didn’t realize food pairing only after 8pm and between the two days only made it to seven spots and several closed on Saturday closer to 3 than 4 so we wasted time stopping in those spots. Love the town, the people and the food we did get to taste was really good
We opted for the VIP package & will do the same next time. There's a method to the madness and we had to learn as we went, being first timers. We're ready for expert level next round. My room to improve, I'd like to see a small food table in the VIP room last session, just to avoid having to battle the crowd once the room fills up to get a bite of cheese!
Sadly the food was A d-. Wine event should have unique food. Most places only offered red wine. And the final tasting which in the past has had amazing unique food was crackers and cheese. when you called ahead to ask about the event no one really seem to know what was going on. My group made our own fun but they need to take it up a notch to be a true wine event.
I thought there were too many people, especially with covid being a concern. Would have been nice to have more tables and chairs at the grand tasting.
