Florida Panthers History

The Florida Panthers began play in the NHL in the 1993-1994 season. The team won the Presidents Trophy for the 2021–2022 season, earning the most points during the regular season. The Panthers then reached the Stanley Cup Final in the 2023-2023 season, though they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.

However, victory was theirs next season, when the Panthers won their first Stanley Cup in the franchise’s history. The 2024 Stanley Cup Final was a thrilling seven-game series, which saw Florida win 2-1 at their home venue of Amerant Bank Arena. In 2025, the Panthers clinched their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, locking in back-to-back NHL championships.

  • Great venue

Pricing has gone up alot which has forced alot of families to not be able to attend games which is a shame but the arena is nice

  • parking ripoff

by roshmark on 1/3/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 2 out of 5

It was fine game. But I hate cashless pay I don't need to be reminded of how many beers I bought. And finally the arena is in a field like 5 feet from the everglades with nothing else around it and no other way to get there but drive and its $35 to park. I don't think I'll ever be back because of this.

When you are charged more for parking ($35) than a game ticket ownership greed stands out. Stay home

  • GO CATS! GREAT GAME !

by Myles on 1/2/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 2 out of 5

I purchased the tickets as a Christmas gift for my spouse! We are both BIG hockey fans, but partial to our PANTHERS! The one comment that we have, and please note this review is not politically motivated review or comment. We were surprised that with "Omicron" rampandily spreading that the Stadium had no rules in place, as simple as a wearing of mask while not eating or drinking? if its too restricted by the owners or management of the stadium, even though the league as it is plagued by the virus, to ask of your fans to wear amask so that we stop the spread well then we find it pretty reckless that managment has no concerns were given to the fans who spent their hard earn money to co e and support the team. Unfortunately we only went to the concession stand wehen we first came, but we found it uncomfortable to get up and walk around the concession while others were at the bar and concession excited screaming without any mask....so we didn't spend any money and we are BEER AND COCKTAIL DRINKERS. Not to mention we were celebrating the holidays and time off. We believe that management should be concerned that when we asked one of the attendants when we came into the stadium why fans weren't wearing mask and we not being asked to wear one, the reply was that the stadium has no rules in place for the virus and that thentwo employees seemed to share a concern....... Its a shame that even the event staff showed concern and further my opinion that the Stadium would not have the health concerns of the staff in the forefront......For us, we will not spend the money to attend another super spreader event. These games are not an outside and more concern should be applied. Eitherway WE SUPPORT OUR CATS!!!

  • Obstructed viewing

by Huge Hockey Fan on 1/2/22FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 2 out of 5

My son purchased tickets for my wife and myself, avid hockey fans who reside in South Florida, as a gift for the holidays to enjoy the Panther/Lighting game on Dec 30...while he spent his hard earned money, the location of our seats that he bought and was proud to provide for his parents were in the lower bowl. Unfortunately, what was probably not clear to him was that they were right next to a railing that obstructed my view and created a sub standard experience for me and my spouse. No where on my ticket did if disclose that this seat was an obstructed view. My son is unaware of this as it would be of no benefit to him to know that his effort and excitement about the seats, in his words, "that he and his girlfriend spent a lot of money on", provided a frustrated and compromised experience for me.

  • Great Christmas Gift!

I bought theses tickets for my friend and his wife for Christmas. They had great seats and watched the Panthers score goal after goal for the Win! Great game and great experience.

  • FLA Arena

by Hålet on 12/19/21FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 4 out of 5

Easy access when entering the arena. We brought our own Coca Cola with us and that was ok. This was the last game before christmas ( or lingeri ) due to Covid-19.

  • Nice facility

Comfortable arena. Friendly staff. Ample parking, however rather expensive. No game program available. That is really lousy!

  • 1st time attending a Hockey game

by Highlander on 12/7/21FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

I just became a fan. My family as well, we had a great time, the Panthers won a very exciting game. The view from my sits, section 334 was amazing. The experience could have been even better if not for a man that was sitting behind us yelling at the players and referees. On a couple of occasions, he used profanity, since this was my first time at the stadium, I did not know who to report it to.

  • Quick, easy, safe

I used ticketmaster to purchase a pair of tickets to upcoming Florida Panthers game and it was easy, quick and safe. Everything is mobile so no tickets to pick up etc. Will definitely use again.

  • Capitals at Panthers

by SR on 12/3/21FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 2 out of 5

Horrible hockey game experience. We were in Section 117, Row 14, and people were constantly coming and going from their seats during play. I have never had that happen before. Usually there is an usher who only allows people to go to their seats while play is stopped, but that was not the case here.

  • GreatExperience Even Though we lost

by ProYear on 12/1/21FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 5 out of 5

First Ice Hockey game and from parking in the arena to leaving was the best and easiest experience I had. I’ve been to football and basketball games and that part is always a pain and you are always worried about getting there and then leaving. This was totally opposite and I had no issues staying till the end even thought we were losing 1-4. Wry exciting game and if dressed appropriately it feels fresh and cool. Not sure if it’s because the sport it not popular in Miami but I didn’t feel too smothered while at the arena. Definitely would like to go to another game.

To lose to Kraken and get no 42 injured at the same night is no fun at all.

Seattle and the Panthers first game. Good win for Seattle. Go Kraken!!

  • Bad management

by Excessive Fees on 11/28/21FLA Live Arena - SunriseRating: 1 out of 5

The entire gameday experience was poor. From the moment you arrive at the FLA Live Arena (formerly BB&T Arena) to the moment you drive off, it is clear that the owners only care about optimizing their profits and not about fan enjoyment. The overcrowded entry lanes into the parking lot, the ridiculous price for parking and the long lines to enter the arena are just a precursor to the disaster that awaits on the inside. Congestion and chaos awaits whether you enter through the main gates, club level entrance or Pantherland (when available). As you try to navigate the concourse in search of food/drink options or just to make your way to your seats, you'll be squeezed into narrow pedestrian lanes due to the multitude of vendor stands blocking your travel or the lines of people protruding all the way across the concourse. Suffice it to say, I see most fans eating at nearby bars and restaurants before each game. Due to the extreme greed of ownership and/or very poor management, the food options are limited, the quality is below fast food and the prices are on par with a five star restaurant. Of the few options available, it takes way too long (even if you do mobile ordering) and you either stand and eat or go back to your cramped seats to try and balance your food and drinks in your lap. There is seating on the Club level, but forget about the delicious pasta or expansive brisket stations. Those are gone and replaced with small and limited operations on the lower concourse. They do have cardboard pizza and carnival food it you don't mind the wait and giving up a week's pay. The only thing close to a bargain is the hot dog game ticket package, but the sacrifice is you have to be willing to eat a sewage tasting meat stick, drink flat soda and eat over-salted carbs. The overpriced team merchandise is available in all sizes unless you want a small, medium or large. You would think that after all these years, the operations team would have perfected the process of getting fans to their seats in an efficient and orderly manner. Of the few ushers that exist, they are incapable of maintaining decorum and the obnoxious, drunk and crude fans permeate the crowd and aisles throughout the game. The players performance aside, the in-game entertainment, video content, contests and giveaways are all lackluster and resemble something from the 1970's. After 28 years the team has no song or tradition (throwing rats and shouting 'red' are not the same). Having attended sporting events all over the country, I can say without hesitation that this venue and ownership combination are at the bottom of providing an enjoyable and reasonably priced family experience. I suggest ownership attend a Lightning, Rangers or Blackhawks game. Even a high school game has better operations.

  • Good seats and easy check in!
