FOTC made me feel like part of the show!

by Emma20 on 7/16/16Chastain Park Amphitheatre - Atlanta

This show was absolutely amazing! The venue was beautiful and from any seat the show was a joy to watch. Flight of the Conchords put on such a wonderful show. They incorporated famous Atlanta mottos and catchphrases throughout the show. Also, they made a point to make the audience feel like part of the show. It was a dream come true seeing Jermaine and Bret on stage.

Possibly the best concert I've attended

by Francis15 on 7/15/16Chastain Park Amphitheatre - Atlanta

Being literal, I think this was the best concert I've ever gone to. I anticipated them being funny, and they exceeded that anticipation. However, I did not think their music would be as good live. I was wrong. It was better live than it is on their CDs or their show. If they can read this: Please make another season of your TV show!

    Hilarious and Nostalgic

by heawest11 on 7/15/16Chastain Park Amphitheatre - Atlanta

The show was everything I expected it to be! I love the Conchords and they did not disappoint. They even interacted with the audience. The banter in between had me laughing out of my seat. I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of the show to go see them!

    Fun night with the Conchords

by Threegirlsdad on 7/15/16Chastain Park Amphitheatre - Atlanta

Fun show, nice amphitheater ! They played a mix of old and new stuff, set list was only 14 songs though. They are always entertaining, would definitely see them again!

    Good Show

by eureekasprings on 7/14/16Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New Orleans

Honestly, I would have preferred to see these guys several years ago. This was a slightly milder version of the FotC I'm used to, but that didn't make the show unenjoyable. They were still funny/silly & even played some newer tracks (one or two of which Jemaine forgot how to play - so funny), as well as a lot of old favorites. The presence of Nigel (a/k/a the New Zealand Orchestra) was also freaking great. And who can resist a good ole' fashioned recorder solo? Opener David O' Doherty had a very similar style & provided a decent beginning to the show.

Fantastic show, incredibly funnyou. My only complaint was parts were very hard to understand, more due to the sound Tynan their ascents.

    The best

by silvrstar515 on 7/7/16The Masonic - San Francisco

First off, the ticket process was probably the worst I have ever experienced. Who sells out in the pre-pre sale??? It was clear a lot of them were bought up by large companies that sold them for insane prices. Having said that, I was one of the lucky ones who did get a ticket in the first rounds and FOTC was even more than I could have hoped for. It was my first time seeing them even though I had been a fan since before their HBO show, and I definitely am so glad I did. I cried through most of the show from laughing so hard. Also one of the ushers was super nice and handed two floor tickets to the person I was there with so that worked out wonderfully!

    Kiwi Heaven

by Genevax on 7/6/16Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

Sorry for the corny review title. But...these two guys are the best. (4) of us attended and really enjoyed Jemaine and Bret. So entertaining, humorous and willing to put on a 2 1/2 hour show for a full-house. Poor Bret was suffering a bit and losing his voice, but they worked together to provide the best show they could. I dreaded thinking of their hectic non-stop schedule. Wow! I am just really impressed and pleased at the quality of their show, the material, the energy and bantor. Absolutely love these two people. Thank you! Geneva

FOTC in Mountain View, CA. 5 Seagulls rating

by RobotSeagull on 7/6/16Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

The Flight of the Conchords in Mountain View, CA, June 28th. **FOTC to Fans*** The Greatest Novelty Band in New Zealand ... of all time and Largest "Rock Band" (there is only two others so this is the Greatest Band by this much) played to a 96.34% sold out outdoor theater. About 10,000 (some say 20,000) fans were well treated to their 1 hour and 50 minutes of playing. They asked twice not to phone video tape the show was a bit of a bummer but many (as I) did sneak here and there moments of their act. Robots was quite fun to record. Not really a Sing along.... only near the end did Bret manage to get the crowd to sing along with the "I' am a Seagull... AUWWW AUWWW" new song. The Crowd was fairly older with 20's to 60's year old range. Think average age was like 35 to 45. I am 53 and had lovely57 year old wife along with me pluse my 18 and 25 year old children. We all enjoyed the show.. They did not do a few classic songs and played many "new" songs that have not been released. I was hoping for Inter City Pressure but nooooooooo. No "Business Time" nor "Hippopotamus" nor other favorites but still, worth it. Think they Skipped the "Hippopotamus" for Jemaine Clement.= would make all the women in the first two rows pregnant... the lawsuits do mount up. I sat in Row B, section 101, about 30 feet from them. Great seats, but cold when the wind picked up at Shoreline Theater. They really need to fix up the Male Bathrooms...rather neglected and feel like "Public" bathrooms in a big city.. Bret and Germain banter back and forth was priceless (well, worth the $75 I paid for the seats). The opening acts were funny too but would have been great if Murry from the TV show showed up and "Called an Emergency Band Meeting" ...... I would have preferred a bit less new material and some classical and reference to the TV show. Doing the song "Robots" with Jemaine having an Arn Still, 5 Seagulls of 5 in my rating. Arthur "King" Henrick, Sunnyvale, CA.

    FotC's token performance

by hugeFotCfan on 7/5/16Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU - San Diego

Demitri Martin opened, and he's good, but there's not a lot you gain from seeing him in person, imo. I like "joke" comics like him and Steven Wright, but it's more about the material than the presentation. FotC had some funny between song banter. Their new material needs an aggressive editor, because it's pretty threadbare with a couple exceptions. They're either re-treading old ground or leaning too heavily on comedy bits that don't support the weight. They did some pretty great renditions of their older material: "Foux Du Fafa," "Too Many Mother'uckers/Tears of a Rapper" mashup, and "Business Time" were all really enjoyable. But the entire show was like 2.5 hours, which felt a bit long, especially for such a laid back and low energy set.
