FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS IN CONCERT:
Retro indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums are keeping the Motown Sound alive and well with their modern take on classic soul and funk. Combining call-and-response vocals, backbeat tambourines, and vintage-inspired instrumentation, the band's electric live shows are equal parts shimmy and shake, inspiring nonstop dance parties as fans sing along to infectious pop masterpieces like "MoneyGrabber" and "Out of My League." Riding high on the success of their sophomore album More than Just a Dream, Fitz and the Tantrums are set to treat fans to another round of unforgettable shows on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Michael Fitzpatrick formed LA-based Fitz and the Tantrums in 2008 after purchasing a Conn electronic organ -- an instrument that would prove vital in the development of the band's retro sound. The group performed their first show just one week after their first rehearsal, underscoring an effortless chemistry that was readily apparent on their 2009 debut EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1. After touring with Maroon 5 and performing at SXSW, the band signed with Dangerbird Records for their 2010 debut LP Pickin' Up the Pieces. The album landed at No. 1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Albums Chart, establishing the group as one of the most promising rising talents in indie-pop and paving the way for 2013 sophomore effort More than Just a Dream — a Top 40 hit on the Billboard 200.

Very energetic---I hope they continue to out out good music.
It was most excellent, and they can put on a stage show. Noell Skaggs you are so freaking hot!
One of the best concerts I've seen in a long time. I am looking forward to the next time they come which is hopefully soon!
Best concert I have been to in a long time. Stage AE was the perfect venue for this band. I had so much fun dancing and singing with my friends. They really know how to put on an amazing show!! Hope they come back again soon!!!
Great show! Full of energy and positivity. Would see them again for sure!
Fitz and Noelle are both so full of energy. Its literally impossible to not dance through their whole concert!! When they are in town again, I will be there!
My fourth time seeing Fitz and the Tanturms, and always always always fun.
One of the best shows I have ever seen! Fitz and the Tantrums were very engaging and had great energy.
Great show!! They sounded great and brought a lot of energy.
The show was awesome! Fitz and the Tantrums are one of the most energetic acts, and their music takes on a new life on stage.
I went to see them a few weeks ago but finally got around to writing a review. And let me tell you, they were AMAZING. It was my second concert (my first was Two Door Cinema Club, who were amazing as well), and it was a really great experience. The band was so much fun and very interactive with the audience. I wasn't expecting Fitz to swear so much, but when he did it was hilarious. The first opening act, Madi Diaz, was eh, but the second, Sleeper Agent, did fantastic. Overall, it was really great :) (and my friends and I got to meet Fitz after the concert)
They were amazing - as I expected. Casino was hot as hell, I almost passed out because of the heat, when I walked out to get some air some short guy started yelling at me. (I was in the smoking section, but I don't smoke). Both my friend and I are professional /responsible adults and this guy was "out of his league". He apologized later.
A high energy and theatrical show. Not to be missed! Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom may be a hassle to get to in weekend traffic, but the venue is well worth your patience, especially when Fitz and the Tantrums are on the bill. Madi Diaz and Sleeper Agent were a great addition to the headliner and the vibe of the evening was full of positive energy. I would travel from New York to Hampton Beach to see this lineup again without hesitation. With a great musical history, beer selection, and amazing acoustics, HBCB is a summer tradition.
Even though they did not play all of my favorites, they put on an incredible show. They engage the crowd like very few acts I've seen. Lots of energy, spot on performance of every song they played. The venue was a great place to see as it was possible to get very close and the acoustics are very good. Set was about 1 hour and 20 minutes of non stop fun!
Ok it's been a while since I went to a concert so first off I wasn't prepared to hear two opening bands for a venue that started at 8 on a Sunday night and have the headliner go on at 10 I was exhausted. We noticed a mixed age group for this show 20's to 50's. We fall into the older of the group. It was our anniversary and didn't have time for dinner due to beach traffic so had to settle for a bag of chips at the Casino :(( Thought Fitz would be on at 8 what do we know...He and his band did not disappoint Noell balances him off perfectly high energy upbeat danceable fun! Could do without all the f words though! But absolutely love them!!!!
Amazing show! A group that seems to enjoy performing as much as the audiences listening.
Excellent energy and stage presence. I liked but didn't love their music going in, but would never turn down another chance to see them live after this show.
Best live show I've seen in years! Going back to see them next week.
The show was scheduled on a Sunday night to start at 8:00 and Fitz & the Tantrums did not go on stage until 10:15. There were 2 opening acts that were not very good. Many people left before Fitz began and we held out as long as we could but ended up leaving well before the band finished playing. Too late for a Sunday night!!! Very disappointing.
