About

Broadway’s biggest new hit and the winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for BestMusical, this breathtaking smash “captures the kid-at-heart,” says TIME Magazine. Vogue cheers, “It’s a must-see you’ll remember for years to come!”

Directed by visionary Tony®-winner Diane Paulus and based on the critically-acclaimed Academy Award® winning film starring Johnny Depp, FINDING NEVERLAND tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes this monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland, where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever. The magic of Barrie’s classic tale springs spectacularly to life in this heartwarming theatrical event. FINDING NEVERLAND is “far and away the best musical of the year!” (NPR).

Interesting approach to a classic tale

by MrTerbillion on 11/28/16Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Bear in mind that I am a serious theatre geek. So I felt that this show does not boast the strongest book or score of a Broadway musical. However, a lot of elements coalesce in the second act nursery scene to create a theatrically satisfying and visually thrilling experience. The entire cast was strong--particularly the four little boys.

Went to see Finding Neverland last night in Chicago. Such a beautiful, funny, moving story with a magical ending. The show helped remind me of several things: We must never lose our inner child. Take time for joy and fun every day. Don't take yourself so seriously. And most of all, be thankful for the time you have. Wish I could see it again and again!

    Magical

    by Jocy7 on 11/26/16Cadillac Palace - Chicago

We loved this play. It is sweet, Inspiring and fantastical! The cast was excellent. The young men who play the boys received cheers at the curtain call. Technically this was cutting edge, newly developed technology which truly brought the fantasy to life. I would not recommend this for under age 10 as the child behind me who was about 6 did not understand some of the symbolism, but the older children loved it too. So glad we decided to see this!

    Beautifully told story

    by Artdeco2 on 11/26/16Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Loved everything about this production. The music the sets the costumes the singing the acting and the beautiful dancing. It was funny and heart wrenching at the same time. We were in the very back corner of the top balcony and still felt every bit of the entire performance. It was a great generational show, that we are already singing the soundtrack from.

    Wonderful Evening!

    by Marme13 on 11/25/16Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Having seen the movie about JM Barrie, I wasn't sure how I would feel about this musical. I can tell you it is wonderful! The actors are super and the technical moments are not overdone - they are just the right amount. When they fly in the arms of another its s perfect and no Foy wires were necessary. The moment when she dies and the wind sweeps the stage it brought tears to my eyes! The choreography is so well done and each actor plays their part to the max! It is definitely worth seeing!
