A great show in a great venue. Feist was very loud and very intimate, both.

1 2 3 4... I don't love you anymore.
by Trudy28 on 11/20/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 1 out of 5I was so excited to get the concert tickets to see Feist at the Schnitzer. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our 4th anniversary, thus my expectations were high. The opening pianist was really funny. But then Feist enters the stage with no introduction to the audience. She might think she does not need any. Then , most songs that I knew were not recognizable and I could not sing or even hum the songs. And most of all, she did not even sing the song she is known for. I waited for the 1 2 3 4 till the end but it never came. Is she so famous not to give the audience the chance to listen the song she is famous for? Okay, last part, people came to the stage and danced with her.... blablabla....so cool. Great!

The opening show was a sarcastic pianist by the name of Chilly Gonzalez. His piano planning was superb. His sense of humor very dry and funny. His raps were also very hilarious. Feist was awesome. She engaged the audience during almost every song and she also invited the audience to come closer a few times during the concert. She really cares about her fans enjoying the experience. She sang amazingly and her band and backup singers (group known as Mountain Man) were also extremely talented. If she comes back to Portland, you can bet I will be there!
Fiest was wonderful!
by kelliepie on 11/19/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5Fiest was so peaceful and pleasant! Wonderful music and her voice of an angel. She told people to come sown to the front and then to get on the stage. That was the first time I have EVER experienced that and I have been going to concerts since 1983. Tha band sounded wonderful and the feeling I was left with was like "ahhhhh" I wish everyone was so peaceful!

Great venue. Even greater artist. See Feist as soon as you can.

Feist is one of the most dynamic and charismatic performers I have ever seen.
sea lion dance party
by zooeylove on 11/18/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5One of the best shows i have ever seen @ the Schnitz! Although it was the typical boring, sit in your Seats Portland shnitz crowd, Feist broke the mold and encourage energy! I originally had tickets in the dress circle but ended up on the stage singing "Sea Lion" 5 ft from FEIST! along with all the other rad Feist fans. Her new songs sounded amazing and her backup singers were angelic. She is an amazing performer and with great artists the Schnitz has the potential to be a wonderful venue.
Feist was fun
by Lokashant on 11/18/11Arlene Schnitzer. - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5She was very warm and approachable. At one point someone jumped on stage and danced with her and then kissed her on the cheek. Later a 100 or more people came up on stage and surrounded her, dancing. She asked them to sit for "story time" and sang a softer song to a young kid and his mother. (I'm sure the kid didn't understand that the song was a warning about future relationships. Sorry I don't remember the song's title.) I have seen her before and will see her again.
Could have been better
by JCDBA on 11/18/11Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5Enjoyed the music. Could have done without the 35 minute wait in between Chili Gonzalez and her appearing on stage. The spotlights shining into the crowd were way too bright.

I think the concert was great. She was interactive with the crowd. She was funny, mocking herself. The backup band (moutain man) did a song on theres whaich was fun. At the end she invited people up on stage, it was fun
I'm in love with Leslie Feist!
by meaculpa20v on 11/17/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5Feist was great. Her performance definitely exceeded my expectations. I had a great time. Her voice is beautiful in person and I didn't realized she played so much guitar. For to to sing that well and play lead on most of the songs is talent. I would definitely recommend seeing her if you're a Feist fan.
Feist was lame
by Cayt on 11/17/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5From the cracked cel-phone display as a background image to a few slightly improved versions that were color tinted and taken from different angles -- to the 1930's-style drabbest cotton clothing that quietly spoke 'poverty' draped on the 3 backup singers who had beautiful voices -- to the awesome base drummers who, despite their excellent percussion talents, drowned out the angelic voice of Feist and throbbed in my head to the point I could hardly hear the awesome voice we came to hear- -- to the utter lack of actual performance (what happened to those fab Apple commercial choreographied wonderfulness she used to do?!), I honestly would rather have been on the ferry boat chatting with a friend.

Love Feist and her supporting act C. Gonzales was brilliant too!
Beautiful
by Viero on 11/16/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5Lovely lovely lovely. Perfect for a visiting weekend in Cali. Highly recommend the show!
Airy, wispy show was uninspired. We left early!!
by Kneelio on 11/16/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 1 out of 5Played mostly new album which we did not like. very airy and grim as my friend described it. 4 of us went and we all left after 6 songs b/c we were falling asleep. Feist should learn to play the songs that made her famous. She did play on of her hits but it was a version that could hardly be recognized as a song. Feist is clearly full of herself as a song writer now and just does whatever she wants. a very boring, theatrical wispy performance. Stay Home Instead!!!
Even better live! Unbelievable
by musicarebear on 11/16/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5Had been waiting for a new album and to see Feist live for the past 4 years. Loved the new album but was even more blown away by the live performance. Leslie's voice is outstanding. The show was a blast and she even threw in a few older songs with brand new twists. She had me wanting more even after the double encore!
Fiest Fantastic!!!
by Aliflo on 11/16/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5I loved everything about this show. Feist always devotes attention to her staging and to the experience as a whole. she had cameras on her and the band/backup singers at different points in the show which projected a video experience that reminded me of the old pre-music videos of the 60's. She played almost all of her new album Metals and the older material she did was re-imagined with different rhythms so they seemed fresh and new. She ended the evening with an acoustic version of Intuition from The Reminder and it was a beautiful way to bid farewell. Feist surrounds herself with a wonderful ensemble group to create one of the most memorable nites of music I have experienced.
my new rock star crush!!!
by joetsunami on 11/16/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5I've loved Feist from the moment I first heard her. But after seeing her live I've developed quite a rock star crush on her. Actually she came across really accessible and humble and it was an awesome show. I will go see her every time she's in town. Chili Rodríguez is my new musical hero!
