    Kinda meh

by Julia on 4/29/24Roxian Theatre - Pittsburgh

The event was a cool concept, but the crowd was really small and either just chilling or over energetic for what ultimately was kinda meh as far as a "rave". The dj didn't really engage the crowd most of the night, the visuals were short and repetitive and the overall volume wasn't much louder than a house party.

    awesome time with great sounds

by izzy on 3/12/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

the DJs were awesome! they had great energy and played all sorts of artists that the crowd loved. only thing i would change is maybe playing more modern artists like FISHER and talk to the crowd more.

    Fun night full of hits

by cj on 3/12/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

My friend and I had so much fun at the Feels So Close party! We loved hearing three different DJs and appreciated all their different styles. More hits are always welcome!

This party was exactly what I needed when I needed it. I had so much! The DJs were awesome. Thank you House of Blues!

    Great venue, poor DJinf

by Amy on 2/7/24Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

Venue was amazing. Plenty of bartenders, easy to use coat check ($5), good temperature, easy entry. DJing sucked. Not at all what was described. They played old pop hits, would pause music, then play a few seconds of an edm beat. Very tiring with all the pauses, couldnt really keep my energy up. No cool lights or back screen.

    Not what I thought

by Wid on 1/30/24Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

I expected Golden Era EDM music and we barely got good EDM. There were a few songs here and there but the crowd had to practically beg for Avicii. Respectfully, I could’ve plugged my Spotify in, put the fade in fade out and play EDM best of 2008-2016 and would’ve had more fun.

    Good Venue, New? DJs

by tb on 1/29/24GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand Rapids

The venue was great, spacious with GREAT women’s restrooms upstairs, best I’ve seen in GR venues so far (I’m new to the scene). The speed to get in the venue was great, everything was on time. “Slim Tim” the DJ (who I remember because he keep saying his name not because he was good) had a rough intro, some choppy mixes and it wasn’t necessarily the song selection I thought was going to play for a 2010s Golden Age concert. “One More Time” by Daft Punk was played 4 times from 9pm-1am and Harlem Shake was only vaguely used as a merge. The energy of the music wasn’t super consistent, it felt kind of clubby. The crowd wasn’t super pumped, I could hear other people making fun of the set. But great venue and the guy that wasn’t Slim Tim was pretty good, I could tell whose mixes were whose. Also It’s not one more time if you play it four times.

    Disappointing and Strange

by Brandon on 1/29/24Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

My expectations were set low for this event, and somehow even those weren't met. Would have been better off saving the ticket money and going to enjoy a free DJ at a bar playing the same pop music. Definitely not "Golden Age EDM"or anything close to it. The DJs were some young kids that were underwhelming, and there was not much of an event or experience to be had. No laser lights, strange music choices, and strange stage presence with the DJ duo. Save your time and money on this one, and play a Spotify playlist at home with real Golden Age EDM music that surely will not get at this show.

    False advertising

by Emma on 1/29/24GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand Rapids

They did not play the music they said they would. There was no production what so ever. Honestly I would like to dispute the transaction.

    Hire new DJs

by KC on 1/29/24GLC Live at 20 Monroe - Grand Rapids

I could’ve even forgiven them for playing half new stuff and half old. But when you create an event that says it’s going to be 2010s EDM, there should at least be a few songs that are EDM from the 2010s.
