About
Luke Wright Jones, who performs as BISCITS, is a producer and DJ known for his hypnotic, pulsing beats and unique samples.
Born and raised in Southampton, England, Jones gravitated to the piano early on, developing an appreciation for music that kicked off when he discovered the music editing software Logic at the age of 16. After falling in love with electronic music while partying at clubs in Ibiza with his friends, Jones went on to take a music study course at university and posted tracks to SoundCloud under the moniker Gold Top.
When the momentum of his early attempts slowed and money grew tight, Jones went back to work an office job for some years before a near death-experience on a plane that was headed out of Las Vegas brought him back to his musical aspirations.
BISCITS released his first full-length EP, Generate, in 2018, and followed up with his Carnival Tune EP in 2019. In 2022, he released his first full-length studio album, Without U, and headed out on tour, performing concerts and festival sets across Australia, as well as in North and South America.
The producer also has a sense of humor; when asked about the inspiration for his stage name in a 2020 interview with Kiss FM, BISCITS answered, "I just really like food-related names. Also, it's spelt without the 'U' because I needed it to be a unique search term for Google!"
