Great show as always. Looking forward to future shows. Especially the Nutcracker Jazz
As a person who loves the music of the Big Band Era, I think the FAU Big Band brought that energy and mood to the audience. With hundreds of compositions to pick from, the conductor made excellent choices to perform. His interesting anicdotes and enthusiasm added delightfully to the entire program. Some individual musicians were standout performers, most especially the keyboard player. He exhibited a real love & enjoyment for what he was performing. Your request below seems puzzling since we were told prior to the performance that we were NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS.
Loved it .Professional.will go to the next one.great
This play always moves me but with the way things are now, it was especially sad and frightening. The cast was great and it was a well done show. The theater is not too large so there are no bad seats. It's a great show, especially for the price. I highly recommend it.
Exceeded my expectations, great costumes and very talented cast.
A must see for theater lovers, feminists and progressives of intellectual spirit
Excellent performance, excellent set, very impressive.
If you are a Noel Coward fan, or even if you aren't, you won't want to miss this superb production of Easy Virtue, a rarely performed Noel Coward play. The set design is fabulous, as only an English country house can be, the cast is amazing, and the play is funny and it makes you think. Another outstanding Studio One experience!
This show was a sleeper and the theater was too cold. Acting was adequate, but uninspired. Stage design was quite good.
The play reflects a good picture of the actual episode that took place in Cuba when young kids were sent to the United States without the kids parents. I would have like to see more visual performance regarding the father whereabouts and final destiny. It could have been incorporated, in a simple visual performance, at the same time the mother was explaining the incident to her son..A sort of a visual acting on the background..At the reading it could have been done with light over both characters at different positions on the stage. The reading was excellent. The music fantastic. I would like to see the actual play one day soon!!!
It portrayed lots of thruth about the suffering that cubans have to endure still in the 21st century
This was another excellent production at FAU Studio One. This Shakespeare comedy was set in Palm Beach, but with all of Shakespeare's language and wit preserved. FAU theatre always does a great job with comedies, and the audience really enjoyed this one.
The actors were excellent and I loved the modern staging. It was a fun experience.
This was a unique take on this Shakespeare comedy. Every actor was fantastic, especially Thomas Shull as Master Fenton. FAU shows are worth the cost and a fantastic way to support young actors.
O, had I but followed the FAU arts calendar more closely this season! !The FAU arts program is producing talent worthy of Broadway in every aspect of performance and staging. The Merry Widows of Windsor is a challenging production for the most worthy of companies. FAU has proved themselves most worthy.
FAU strikes gold again with this amazing performance of The Merry Wives of Windsor. I laughed the whole time. Superb acting, costumes, and set. Can’t wait to see Easy Virtue and Cabaret this summer.
We enjoyed these performances as always. It would be great to fill up the theatre. Wish they would get the word out. You can't go anywhere else for $10 /seat.
The director brought an interesting and entertaining approach to 'Merry Wives.' The actors executed the director's intentions well; the music and set added so much...the audience enjoyed and appreciated the performance. Well done!
Wonderful play. Funny,moving,-explores the human condition &how you must go on no matter what life throws at you.
This 2018 event was wonderfully presented. So much talent was demonstrated by each scholarship recipient. These recipients are so very appreciative of each audience member. When I spoke with some of these fine young people, they were gracious, poised, and very humble.
