    Kim Wilson Still Brings It!!!!

by Keithe48 on 3/30/10The Ark - Ann Arbor

I was a big fan of the Thunderbirds back in the 80's and 90's. But it was my wife who really wanted to attend this Monday night concert. Thank good I listened to her! Kim Wilson mixes blues, rock, and soul like a master. In addition, he is underrated harp player. He has assembled a great band and the Ark is a great small venue ideal for experiencing great musicians. If you have a chance to see the Thunderbirds in your area - believe me - you won't regret it.

    Fantastic!

by Anonymous on 3/30/10The Ark - Ann Arbor

Too bad nobody was taping this concert. i would have immediately purchased the "live album"! They were so tight, the vocals were impeccable, the blues they played were out of sight! A thoroughly captivating evening! Come back to Ann Arbor again!

    Fabulous Thunderbirds Still Rock

by Hessssssssss on 8/19/09Birchmere - Alexandria

Great guitar work by both guitarists. Every band member on the whole is a very accomplished musician. Band plays very crisp/tight; rifs were exceptional. Solo harmonica in which rest of band departed the stage briefly was tiresome...there is only so much uniqueness to a harmonica solo and it doesn't last 5 minutes.

    THE WORD WAS THUNDERBIRD

by rockabilly on 8/12/09Birchmere - Alexandria

The T-BIRDS put on a very good performance and good energy-I think the band and the audience enjoyed the show and got the max experience due to the design/layout of seating- our seats were close, but they all are- my first visit to the Birchmere and we were not dissapointed. Goin back to see great guitarist Robben Ford!

    T-birds in are indeed fabulous

by Blinddog on 8/9/09Birchmere - Alexandria

Kim Wilson and his band are performers not to be missed. If you enjoy the blues this is the band to see. They are truley awesome showmen and know how to work the crowd. I have seen them a number of times and they never disappoint. Their sets cover both older and newer material from a long list of great songs the band has produced.

    Fabulous Thunderbirds were awesome!

by thunderbirdsfan on 8/9/09Birchmere - Alexandria

The Fabulous Thunderbirds put on a high energy rockin' show that had the whole place electrified from the very first note. Kim Wilson's singing and harmonica playing was fantastic and the band he has put together is amazing -- they are all so talented. They did a multi-song encore and everyone left happy. We bought the new cd and all the guys were there to sign it and chat after the show so it was a real personal experience. Awesome! Thanks guys!

    The Thunderbirds - absolutely amazing!

    by 1Grandma on 8/8/09Birchmere - Alexandria

This was the first time I had heard this band, and they knocked my socks off! I didn't know what type of music to expect, and I was blown away. What an amazing and talented band! The music is hard to describe - blues/rock, but each and every song is different and mesmerizing. The lead singer is totally amazing and I have never in my life heard the harmonica played to such unbelievable heights - wow! The sounds that he got out of all the different harmonica's he played were absolutely out of this world. He gave it everything he had - and then some, even walking around the audience playing the harmonica while the band backed him up. At one point he played the harmonica for at least 10 minutes -- by himself - what stamina! And the lead guitar players were totally awesome themselves - extremely talented and obviously enjoying playing their music. No wonder this band has a following. I would definitely recommend everyone go see this band for themselves - it was a pleasure to see such talent. I hated for it to end, even though it was non-stop playing and singing for two solid hours.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds Rocked the house!

by RayB on 7/6/09Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa - Tampa

The band was rockin' for an hour and a half non stop and Kim Wilson was amazing. He did a harmonica solo for 15 to 20 minutes while the band was off stage. I'd pay to see them again today!!!

    T-Birds @ Seminole Hard Rock

by jwilley127 on 7/6/09Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tampa - Tampa

Good raw rock and blues show. Just wish Hard Rock sound guys would figure out that blues based bands like this don't need a pounding kick drum and bass in the mix...let the vocals and other instruments cut for a change.
