Very Good Show - Totally Satisfied

by Vayabroder on 11/8/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

I’m a total music freak and know my stuff. This is one of the best Beatle tribute bands I’ve seen. As with Liverpool Legends, “Paul” is also left handed, which adds a flavor of authenticity. I was especially impressed with the “Ringo” and the “George” both of them delivering spot on performances that sounded just like the records. “George” even pulls off the “While my Guitar Gently Weeps” solo note for note which, as everybody knows, was originally recorded by George Harrison’s close friend Eric Clapton. The performance is also peppered with vintage commercials and news through two video screens at each side of the stage. Very entertaining and good show. Highly recommended.

Rain was a ray of sunlight

by Beatlefaniac on 11/8/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

Wife and I really enjoyed this trip back to our teen years. The flashback screens were a complete and total look at an era we lived through (it was amazing to see all of the gray heads around us on their feet and dancing). We had a lot of fun!

RAIN - A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES

by sailorsam1 on 11/8/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

This was certainly the most AWESOME show I've seen since Paul McCartney visited the New Orleans Arena years ago. I was never fortunate enough to see the actual Beatles in concert. I must say, if this is the closest I can come to having seen them, then I'm happy. Would highly recommend to ALL ages...GREAT SHOW!

It was fun to sing along, but the musicians were just average. Stage show and special effects were good.

Loved it! They were awesome musicians and they imitated the mannerisms of the Beatles. I would go again in a minute.

Rain was the Fab Four Revisited!!

by judithj on 11/7/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

What a great evening. So many favorite Beatles' tunes. These four young men did an incredible job. Great sound matched up to extremely nostalgic film clips. The computer generated clips added a lot to the performance as well. I also liked the pre-show trivia questions. The entire audience was one with the music.

    The Rain was Amazing!

by Anonymous on 11/7/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

It was a great experience. I bought the tickets for my 16-year-old brother's birthday. He enjoyed the experience so much. I was so thankful that he did.

Rain: A summer shower, no thunderstorm.

by GeauxBeatles on 11/7/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

This is the third Beatles tribute we've seen within the last year. It came in second, just beating out third place by a hair due to the production value. It was, however, the longest show of the three which was truly appreciated. There was a very nice acoustical segment. Surprisingly, a few of the most popular Beatles songs were not included in the show we saw (Can't Buy Me Love, She Loves You, Help, Hard Days Night...). If you're a true Beatles fan, you can't get enough of them--so don't miss this show!

    an experience to be shared.

by Nikonguy on 11/7/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

For those of us old enough to remember the Beatles, RAIN were not the fab four. For my twelve year old it was an experience that he was captivated by while I revisited that magical time of my youth and loved sharing together. The sets and feel from opening to close were flashbacks to an era that changed the world. Clips between sets were hysterical.

    RAIN

by breezybabs on 11/7/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

Well done performance with a lot of preparation. However it just wasn't exciting to me even though I really enjoy Beatles's music. Enjoyment wise I did not think it worth the price of the ticket.

New Orleans wanted RAIN more than it needed rain!

by Stromeyer on 11/6/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

I've seen RAIN before, most recently in Biloxi, MS. They have, however, fine-tuned their performance since then to the degree that it can easily be seen that they are definitely ready for Broadway. I'm not sure if it was the addition of the world famous Tim Piper [John Lennon] or a more precise attention to detail unlike any of the other "Beatles tribute bands." In any event, my friends and I enjoyed the performance as much as we enjoyed the "LOVE" show in Vegas, if not more!! Their inclusion of some of the more "obscure" Beatles songs which other tribute bands do not play only added to our appreciation of the show. Our experience was attested by the entire audience delivering several standing ovations throughout the night -- I was truly impressed!!!

    Go See Rain

by Kalan32 on 11/6/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

An amazing night of music and nostalgia. Rain brought the house down here in New Orleans, and that's saying something in a city who's seen some great music in it's day. Rain was not pretentious, just fun. Simple and energetic from "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" right through to the end with the crowd singing the famous notes to "Hey Jude." I'm not even a Beatles fan really and I had the best time. I promise, it's a night that celebrates peace, love, and all things mop top. Go see Rain and have a great time!

    Great for all ages!

by GenTilly on 11/5/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

The actors were wonderful as the Beatles. They were also excellent musicians in their own right who obviously did an incredible job of studying old film footage and recordings. They captured even the most subtle characteristics and mannerisms that the most diehard Beatles fan would recognize and appreciate. The Beatles music was beautifully interwoven with other music of their times, videos. newsreels, and art that was the perfect time capsule. It demonstrated that The Beatles were both groundbreakers and a reflection of the second half of the 20th century. Every age group was represented in the audience and a good time was had by all! The show proved once again that Beatles music will always transcend time. I hated for the show to end and could have gone back the following evening and seen it all over again!

    Great First Date

by slvince1 on 11/5/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New Orleans

They opened with the original mop top look. The whole time old news footage as well as concert footage was playing on big side monitors. Rain then went threw the progression of styles for the beatles in both music and clothing. I would definitely recommend this show to all people of all ages.
