    Amazing!!!

by larrecun on 10/26/10Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

This was amazing. Being from Peru, it was very moving, nostalgic. From a musician point of view, she is flawless, perfectly in tune. The rhythm section is spectacular, the arrangements were complicated, but executed perfectly.

    Eva Ayllon Supreme Entertainer!!!

by review1234 on 10/20/10Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

I went with two other people and one of them doesn't understand Spanish very well and told me it was an amazing show, Eva always owns the crowd, her voice, the dynamic with the public on stage, everything.

    Unforgetable!

by Andreanos on 10/19/10Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

WOW! I didn't know what to expect and I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. I went with a Peruvian lady friend. Eva is her favorite singer. I don't even speak Spanish...but...I could feel the passion in her voice and the crowd was moved to dance in their seats. Her band was awesome....50% of the musicians were "rythym" players...bass, trap drums, congas, bongos, El Cajon and various other things like a jawbone, catanettes, wood block, cow bell. Horn section (trombone, sax and trumpet) were awesome. Classical guitarist was a virtuoso. Piano player was fabulous. Eva's voice is husky and sultry, Her body movements were suggestive and evocative...yet tasteful and very uninhibited in a sensual but entertaianing way. The two back up singers were always on pitch and in sync...and they could move too! I will never allow myself to be stuck with my white bread taste for music again. I will explore other kinds of music going forward. Royce hall is a nice venue. All in all avery entertaining event and it was an evening I will alwys remember. My especial friend also had a great time and was very happy I took her to see Eva. This was the best part for me.

    Great Show, Great Venue

by OscarL111 on 10/19/10Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

This was a great show, in a great venue. Not too big, not too small. I really praise the people in charge of the venue for reinforcing the NOT use of camaras and cell phones during the performance.

I will admit that, being the true latino I am, I was late. I truly enjoyed the show. I am not in any way Peruvian, but the culture and music has always fascinated me. I recommend for those that love world music.

    EVA AYLLON Concert

by JUperu on 10/12/10Town Hall - New York

Eva Ayllon is the best afro Peruvian singer I have ever listened to. Her concert on October 8th, 2010 at The Town Hall in NY City was incredible. This was the first time that my 2 cousins, my mom and I went together to see our Peruvian diva. Her music has “sazon” or good taste. The mixes of Spanish and Afro rhythms make this type of concert unique. Eva Ayllon voice is husky and sensual. She knows how to move and improvise on stage. You can feel her soul when she sings. We had such a great time that we would like to see her again soon.
