Simple but very nice. Amazing voice with one good backup singer.
Excellent show. Had an awesome time. Eva is the best!!!
Great sound, great view, excellent venue with plenty of room
It was an awesome night. Music was great Ana was magnificent.
Ms Eva Ayllon provided a show that more than exceeded the price of the ticket. Her vocals, stage presence and flawless dancing left me in awe of her. Her band's performance was outstanding in their own right. I am so honored to have seen her perform and will follow her in order to see future appearances. She is a must see. Thank you Eva Ayllon!
The show that these two marvelous entertainers put on was SPECTACULAR!!!! Albita and Eva are one great combination on any stage, at Town Hall, NYC, it was fabulous.
Very very culturally profound and amazing! Thank you to the Howard leadership and staff for being so insightful and respectful.....meaning that all your performers that you bring in are very respectful to the ALL of D.C's, Maryland's and Virginia's melting pot of culturally diverse communities. Thank you so much for featuring various aritist of diversity and countires including our own. I am not Peruana but I have been to Peru 15 or more times and know that Eva is Peru's Diva but I have not ever been able to see her in concert! I was absolutely delighted when I saw that she was going to be at the Howard! Her performance was spectacular, she is a wonder woman and a spectacular Diva of a singer, performer and actress. She is and I was most taken by her billiance of being an awsome hands on aritist with being in touch with the "people" the audience and down right courageous personality and style. More importantly her intellegence to bring true and sincere attachment and respect to her awsome orchestra and singer and the mix of dances that she intergrated into her show! It would not have been the "Spectacular" without all that she diversified her show with. She is truely a Diva that is deeply and sincerely in touch with her roots and is proud of her country, people, arts, culture and her beauty heart and soul.......her respect for the U.S. and the ability and the blessings that God has besotowed on her is and was truely apparent! Thank you ......please bring her and her group of artists back to us. The extra blessing and touch was to see that her son was part of her art her work her daily life.....Perfecto drumer that he is as well as the Afro-Perurvian cultural mix that is the truths and realities of beautiful Peru! P.S. a Peruvian fabulosa "Ceviche" dish being served on the menu would have put the final cherrie on the pastel! Abrazos Chica-Chula
The show was great. Eva Ayllon has received many Grammy awards and it is great to see that we can get a first quality international performer close to home.
Mrs. Eva Ayllón put a Beautiful show together with her musicians, choir, dancer! BEST PERFORMANCE. The show started on time and she even went over her time!! at the end of the show she came out again and sang 2 more songs so we had the opportunity to take our cameras and take some photos.
Eva Ayllon has done it again! she is an amazing singer bringing the peruvian flavor to LA.
Eva Ayllon did more than perform at Royce Hall, she brought a feeling of family love, involving her audience as if we were in her home as invited guests. Accompanied by a group of musicians, a backup singer and a dancer who were all at the top of their professions and who shared her warmth and humor, Ayllon seemed as emotionally open in her presentation as an improvising jazz player while performing standards so well known and loved by the audience that at times her listeners became a scattered chorus, singing the lyrics out loud as if it was understood by all that this was meant to be a group participation evening.
Such an incredible show and the singer had such a powerful voice.
I am from Peru and brought my mother and cousin who are also peruvian and my american husband who likes Evan Ayllon's music. We traveled from another state and all we saw was Peru Negro over and over. I thought Eva Ayllon would be singing "at least" one vals,marinera... nothing not even one. She sang with another lady? Lando. It was very disappointed to say the least. It was very monotonous. If you would like to see lando for 2 hours go ahead and see the show, I thought I was watching high school kids jumping around in recess. I thought that it would be half Peru Negro and half Eva, I always go to see Eva Ayllon and she puts an awesome show but this time.. no way will I see her again! It was a waste of time and money. Very disappointing.
Great show, well rehearsed, and lots for fun and good humor added. Everyone looked great and like they were having fun. I am glad the show started on time, this way people are educated to be on time. Most people respected their seats assigned and did not get into any trouble.
I think it was an excellent show. Peru Negro has amazing dancers. Eva was as always very good.
It was a great show. unfortunatey my seats were not. hope net time i'll get goods ones. her and monica duenas were fantastic singing together peru negro is one of the best groups in peru. i whish the show start oon time.
i enjoyed her show very much, and Peru Negro the best!! Eva's voice is incredible live.
[Ticketmaster prompted me by Email to give a review... so I will ] We were seated on time, but missed 3/4 of the visuals for the first half because 1/2 the audience came late and blocked our view while figuring out seating. Many in the audience were recording which supposedly was not allowed, I don't care about the recordings for personal use, but the the large bright preview displays on Iphones and the likes were very distracting. The staff did make a reasonable effort to stop this and the flash photography which is just plain stupid. Sitting orchestra, half way in on the right against the aisle we were looking into a bright white light on the far left on the stage. That seemed avoidable, but so be it. Add to that, that the sound for the leads female vocals was distorted, probably clipping on the input pre-amp. The resulting total aggravation distracted from an otherwise fine, but not spectacular, show.
Great voices, talented dancers and musicians, and lots of laughs, too! Eva & Peru Negro were awesome!
