    Love Esther Perel but..

by Ebz on 4/20/24Beacon Theatre - New York

I really like and admire Esther. Her podcasts, advice, etc all great. Didn’t feel like a large venue is her medium. Her talking points great. Audience interaction felt forced. IMHO stick to smaller intimate discussions.

    Roundup of her greatest hits

by Longtime Fan on 4/17/24DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

Esther is lovely, engaging, and charming — but there is nothing new in this talk. So, if you’re new to her work, it probably makes for a more impactful evening. For those who know her well… you’ll get more in depth thought and analysis listening to a podcast.

    Enlightening evening

by Debi on 4/16/24DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

She is a bright light for our world community! I enjoyed her interactive presentation and picked up a new term,”social atrophy” to describe an issue we all recognize today.

Marvellous show. I travelled from Ontario and it was emphatically worth it.

    Never enough

by Ketrin on 4/16/24DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

I have read her books, listened to her podcasts, participated in her Sessions, listened to interviews, and yet I continue to learn with every piece of content. As a therapist, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the work that Esther puts out and her contributions to the field. I will never get enough of Esther and her wisdom. She is a hell of a performer as well. I “dragged” my husband, friends, and their partners and they all loved her too. As someone who has consumed much of what Esther has produced, my favorite part was the question and answer section. Esther manages to kindly say what we are all thinking by requesting people actually ask questions. She generously recognizes the nervousness people feel facing their hero’s while redirecting them to their question. Then she manages to respond by seeing the question behind the question and the statement behind the statement. It feels like watching a magician. I did not have the courage to expose myself by asking a question, but if you do, may I recommend ending it with “just asking for a friend” because her answers don’t seem to fall into the ‘it’s them not you’ category.

Everything I Hoped for and More

by Diliana on 4/16/24DAR Constitution Hall - Washington

The event was deeply thought-provoking and entertaining all at the same time. Esther's ability to connect and engage her audience is unparalleled. I will most certainly attend her next event and highly recommend it to others.

    A lot to be Desired

by T Chase on 4/14/24Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

I didn’t come with many expectations since this is the first live show by Esther Perel I’ve experienced. There were interesting prompts for reflection and interaction at the start, which was cool. She started out very strong and the audience interactive components were creative and fun! Though at one point seemed a little nervous / like she was forgetting something and needed to refer to her notes. Then once the Q/A began it lost steam and in the end she didn’t quite wrap it up and have a strong conclusion. the closing was very lacklustre and it needed to have the energy brought back up by some sort of interaction. I hope the ending can be refined a bit more to close with a bang, like the opening. It would be nice to have a few concrete takeaways to go home with.

by Rick on 4/13/24Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

Esther Perel is captivating and addresses powerful dynamics about couple hood and eroticism. The evening flew by way too quickly! She created a warm intimate atmosphere with over 2,500 attendees! Amazing.

    Start on time

by Jason on 4/13/24Boch Center Wang Theatre - Boston

Esther was fine, but starting 30 minutes late when the program was meant to start at 8pm was very inconsiderate. If the audience is late, allow for a 10 minute grace period, then only seat late arrivals at predetermined breaks in the program.
