It was epic! This is the second time I’ve seen the chief. This was even better than the first time! Well thought out to the music he played prior to coming to the stage. The graphics on the screen were cool behind him. Eric church is such a great entertainer. He shows love for his fans, plays longer than anyone I have ever seen. As the show went on, he striped away aspects of the band until it was just him acoustically. So sexy! I highly suggest if you ever get a chance to see him…GO! It is a once in a life time experience. I will never miss him when he comes to Columbus. Worth it every time!!!
I've seen Eric Church 6 times prior to this show. This was one of my favorites. The stage set up and graphics were cool and added to the experience. The variety of musicians during the beginning, the change to ECB then the acoustic was awesome. I loved the show.
Absolutely amazing! Buy the tickets!!! You won’t be disappointed He is fabulous and his back up musicians and singers are just awesome
Been going to shows for 40yrs. Only 3 artists give it all + EXTRA and thats Springsteen/ ACDC/ and Chruch. Have seen him many times from up and coming in bars to shows like the last tour by himself for 3 hrs! He still did extra X around 2 hrs but IF you must have an opener make it someone worth seeing. Im all for up and commers (saw Garth open on table tops @FAA event or Nickleback come out for a few songs before Def leppard) BUT Ellie King. Come on Church you can offer much better.... Why show was a 4star and not a 5 this time. See you again next time and hope its a 5 star show
The concert started out so weird, I felt like I was the wrong concert ! I’m sure it was his idea of creative genius, it just was very unclear what he was trying to say , the gas masks and etch a sketch like drawings were weird and unsettling, no real good feel good vibe..
My attempt to give you my take and review of last night, through my tired and bleary eyes, behind my Ray Bans.....Here goes: Eric Church put on an electrifying concert last night at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, showcasing his signature blend of country rock, heartfelt ballads, and powerful storytelling. The setlist was a whopping 30 songs long, filled with fan favorites and unexpected gems that kept the audience on their feet and engaged throughout the night. The opening was as predicted, with EFC playing "Evangeline VS, the Machine in its entirety. This choice set the tone early, the led into into a mix of classics like "Smoke a Little Smoke"and "Give Me Back My Hometown,"each performance filled with raw emotion and energy. The crowd was particularly energized for "The Outsiders"and "Drink in My Hand,"both songs that reverberated with a sense of camaraderie among the audience. Church's willingness to cover songs, including Tom Waits' "Clap Hands"and Al Green's "Take Me to the River,"showcased his versatility and passion for music beyond his discography. The highlights continued with the acoustic section, featuring intimate renditions of "Like Jesus Does,""These Boots,"and "Two Pink Lines,"allowing fans to connect with him on a more personal level. A standout moment came when Church changed the lyrics of "Round Here Buzz"to reference Columbus and Ohio State, which undoubtedly thrilled the local fans and added a special touch to the concert. His excitement was palpable, even more pronounced than during his previous show, hinting that every performance is crafted uniquely for the audience in front of him. While some may say it didn’t quite match the iconic experience of Red Rocks, last night's concert stood out as a close second, filled with heartfelt moments and an electric atmosphere. Lastly, he finished by bringing all 31 musicians, (my count may be slightly off) back to the stage for a final curtain call with a powerful rendition of "Ray Bans". It was great to see everyone on the front of that stage taking one final bow to the crowd with Chief smack in the middle. The Chief's remarkable ability to blend powerful lyrics with compelling melodies truly made for a memorable night that resonated long after the final notes faded away. I honestly am overwhelmed with the weekend experience attending the first two shows of the tour and the chance to share it all with my nephew Anthony. Now Off to Philly, "MY HOMETOWN" GO EAGLES!
Venue was outstanding. Parking was close and easy for people with mobility issues to navigate. Eric Church was amazing. The entire show was exciting and entertaining!
I fell in love w/ his music in 2006, when I really went to see Gary Allan (who was opening for Rascal Flatts). Eric was the opener for the opener, & this was b/f he got kicked off the tour 😂 I went home, downloaded Sinners Like Me to my iPod, & he became my favorite artist. Still is! He still rocks, & I love singing along to all my favorite songs. The only thing that I would’ve changed was him playing two full sets like he has in the past, instead of having an opener 😌
Eric Church and his band always put on such a great show. The staff at Nationwide were all very polite and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
Eric puts on a tremendous show, above and beyond the norm. His singing voice is also awesome which matches his lyrics in the songs. No country singer goes to the length to put on an awesome show like Eric does. Hope to see his show again
Eric was spectacular with his vabd and doing his solo
Eric Church always puts on a good show. I loved seeing the choir and all the different instruments in the orchestra. It was epic!
I was impressed from the minute Elle King opened the show. She was great with an awesome backing band. The girl has some pipes on her! Eric Church and his band blew us away! 4 piece string section, 4 piece brass section, 8 member choir and his backing band, beautiful! So much sound! Eric is a true entertainer in every way, from leading an awesome band to his solo acoustic set. Way to kick ass Eric! Thanks for an awesome evening!!
Eric Church is always unbelievable but this show last Saturday, was the best I’ve ever seen. His music/lyrica are great and it’s so obvious that he is extremely passionate about them. Can’t wait for his next tour!
From E vs M to his roots. 30 nonstop songs showed the energy and enthusiasm of EC. I counted 28 performers on stage with visual illustrations created a sensory overload that pleased the Church goers. Amen!!!
Absolutely amazing show!! He played for almost 2 and a half awesome hours.
Eric put on an amazing show, very long and personal. Played the longest ive ever seen! It was an incredible experience, especially for my boyfriends first concert! I would love to see him again, played all of his best songs and I could recommend this show more! GREAT JOB!
Eric Church was great! Loved the Pink Floyd intro. The new songs were great, but the old favorites were just awesome. Really loved his solo set. Everything was awesome.
I was hoping to hear the old music. He played his new stuff for the first 70 minutes. Not good when you see people leaving early. We sat for most of the concert.
