ERIC CHURCH IN CONCERT:

An Eric Church concert just wouldn't be complete without the signature aviator sunglasses and trucker hat that have become staples of the Nashville-based country rocker's live show. Influenced by a spectrum of artists ranging from Merle Haggard to Metallica, Church serves up his rock and roll-infused country tracks with an infectious energy and sly grin that have landed him on tour with some of the biggest names in country music, including Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts. Back on the road in 2014, Church is set to take fans on a wild ride on his highly anticipated Outsiders World Tour.  

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A North Carolina native, Eric Church got his start with his band the Mountain Boys covering Jimmy Buffet songs and throwing in a few original tunes at local dive bars and restaurants. Convinced that a career in the corporate world was not for him, Church set his sights on moving to Nashville to chase his dreams as a musician. After signing with Capitol Nashville in 2006, he released his debut album Sinners Like Me, graduating from the bar scene to much bigger venues like the Grand Ole Opry. Since then, he has released a string of hits, including country No. 1s "Springsteen" and "Drink In My Hand" from the chart-topping 2011 album Chief. With the 2014 release of The Outsiders, Church once again landed at No. 1, setting the stage for a dynamite 2014 world tour.

    ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT! MUST SEE CHURCH EVERY TIME!

    I can't say enough about this guy. He has a hand in writing all his songs, he's authentic and makes the standard music row, cookie cutter country music look childish in comparison. Eric rocked the Garden. There was no way I was going to miss him play his first headlining show there. He literally would have played all night if they let him. You get your money's worth that's for sure. Amen - Eric makes it a rockin good time to go to Church!

    Nobody does it like Eric

    Opener was very good. The audience actually paid attention to her. I was surprised how much I enjoyed Dwight Yokam, didn't expect to care for him. He still has what it takes to engage the crowd. Next day, I woke up with one of his songs running through my head. Then came "the man". I think everyone stood the entire time for Eric. Covered the new CD and still got all of the older hits and a new song or two. The light show as well played and the sound system was perfect from where we sat. Everyone loves the music, but this is " A Show" in every sense. Highly recommended! See favorite moment.

    Rockabilly of older Country of Dwight Yoakam blended well with the octane and Rocking Eric Church . Brandy Clark was a Great opening act.

    Eric Church put on a great show! He was full of energy, and played straight for over 2 hours. The stage setup was nice and gave everyone in the arena a great view of everything.

    If you like REAL country music, get tickets to a show on this tour. I wish he had played more of his older stuff, but the music was still awesome. His light show and props are mind-blowing! He is so interactive with the audience and keeps you engrossed in the show from beginning to end. Brandy Clarke and Dwight Yoakum are fabulous opening acts. The whole show is such a welcome change from the usual pop country that is like a cancer all over country radio. This show renewed my faith in country music ... good for the soul!!! The only negative thing I can say is that beer prices are outrageous, which is more a reflection of JPJ than Eric Church. The prices have gone up each year, and they are now $7 for a large can of Coors Light. Ridiculous. Also, the beer lines are out of control .... JPJ, please add more carts to accommodate the number of people packed into this venue! Side note to Eric Church and his band ... my husband and I have gone to see this show at JPJ every year he has played there (even when he opened for Jason Aldean). Our wedding song is "Love Your Love the Most", and our anniversary is in October. Please play this one next year for us!!!

    Great show - great venue

    This was my first event at JPJ. It is a great venue. I was in section 104 and had an awesome view of the stage. Eric Church rocked the crowd and Brandy Clark is an awesome songwriter with a beautiful pure country sound. Loved it!

    Best concert ever!!! Non-stop energy! Everyone was standing up from the moment they got there until the end! Love that Eric writes all of his songs and Madison Square Garden is my favorite venue.

    What a great show. Eric was awesome. He truly looked happy to be playing the Garden. You could feel the emotions he felt as he sang. What a great performance. Dwight Yokum was also great. I would see him again if he headlined a show. Went out and bought a CD of his. Brady Clark was also really good too.

    Great show, two plus hours of heart and soul country rock. Sounded awesome throughout. Would recommend to anyone who likes music at all. Eric is a real performer, totally at home on the stage.

    I've been listening to his music since his first album came out and have waited that long to see him live and he did not disappoint. He was on stage for over 2 hours and the crowd was on their feet the whole show. He does a great job interacting with the fans. Great music, great lighting, just an unforgettable experience. I'd go see another concert of his any day!!
