ERASURE IN CONCERT:

Nearly three decades after their debut, British synthpop duo Erasure continue to reign supreme on dance floors around the world. Combining the production skills of Vince Clark and the soaring vocals of Andy Bell, Erasure dominated European airwaves in the '80s and '90s with a massive string of hits that sound as fresh today as they did 25 years ago. Bell is a legendary live performer, maintaining an infectious energy and positivity as he lends his perfectly-preserved pipes to the love-drunk swoon of "Oh L'amour" and the uplifting message of "Chains of Love". The duo's unforgettable live shows never fail to spark impassioned dance parties among nostalgic fans, and their upcoming dates on the Violet Flame 2014 World Tour will be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Erasure was formed in mid-'80s London by former Depeche Mode member Vince Clark and budding singer Andy Bell. Their 1985 debut album Wonderland failed to make much of an impact in Britain, but they hit the big time with their 1987 sophomore album The Circus, which remained on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year on the strength of hit singles "Sometimes" and "Victim of Love". The following year they achieved breakthrough success in America with the Top 20 hits "Chains of Love" and "A Little Respect", both from their third album The Innocents. That album was the first of five consecutive UK No. 1 records for the duo, a streak that culminated with 1994's I Say I Say I Say. With their 16th studio album The Violet Flame hitting shelves in 2014, Erasure will treat fans to a series of electrifying shows in support of the release.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Andy Bell is one hell of a performer and had a lot of energy to bring their songs to life...I remember looking around and seeing my fellow concertgoers smiling from ear-to-ear and having an amazing sing-along experience. Definitely money well spent."

"Andy and Vince were awesome. The new songs are great and it was a blast hearing the old songs once again."

"Simply amazing! Erasure kept the crowd happy and dancing throughout the whole show."

    couldn't see much, didn't matter...

by hahaThatsFunny on 8/28/18The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Erasure was AMAZING! The songs were fan faves, so everyone was up and dancing their socks off. It was as awesome feeling, bonding with strangers over love of Erasure. The only minus was we could barely see anything from the back row floor seats, as everyone was tall up front, and blocked our view. Didn't matter much, however, because it was like we were on the club dance floor, during a non-stop erasure playlist. It was awesome! Erasure gets a 5*, Wiltern floor seats get a 3* - view was amazing when seated, but we Erasure fans don't sit much!

    Sounded AMAZING!

by AMshowgirl on 8/28/18The Wiltern - Los Angeles

Erasure sounded awesome and the show was fantastic!!! Only complaint is that I wish the encore would have been longer. They came out and only played one song :( Just wish the show had gone longer and they could have played longer as it seemed a bit on the short side.

Opening act bites! They suck. Fell asleep. Erasure was awesome!! Great show. Big step up from 2-years ago when I saw them at The Grove, in Anaheim. Great back up singers.

The back up vocals were a great addition to the show along with all the techno lighting. Easy venue to get in and out.

I sang, screamed, and danced throughout the concert. I had a wonderful time. Even though I was in the last rows on the 2nd level, I felt I got a good view. Overall, amazing.

    Erasure! San Francisco

by Howley71 on 8/24/18The Masonic - San Francisco

As a long time fan the show was just amazing. Andy and Vince have wonderful chemistry. Some of the songs bring me back to my HS/College days and others to more present days. Bottom line a great show. Next time share with us another 30 minut s of your genius.

Erasure - great; Moore Theatre - awful

by poohbearnseattle on 8/24/18Moore Theatre - Seattle

Erasure, as usual, was great - I have enjoyed their music since the 80's, and continue to be a fan; loved what I heard of the concert, and opening two songs (Oh L'Amour and Ship of Fools) were amazing. However, the venue was terrible; it was stifling hot in the first balcony, and only could endure about 5 songs, before we had to leave. I recognize it is an old building, but something has to be done - it was miserable, and unable to enjoy the concert that we were promised. Also, the opening act was odd, boring, and not relevant to my kind of music.
