ENTER SHIKARI IN CONCERT:

For more than a decade, British band Enter Shikari has been slaying audiences with their adrenaline-filled blend of metalcore and electronica. In concert the furious foursome hammer out high-octane cuts like "Anaesthetist" and "Sorry You're Not a Winner" with savage intensity, alternating between melodic passages and growling hardcore breakdowns to deliver a dynamic live experience punctuated with real-time electronic manipulations. From the band's blistering riffs and amped-up showmanship to the frenetic mosh pit that inevitably arises, there's always plenty to get ticket buyers thrashing at Enter Shikari's hair-raising live shows.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Enter Shikari formed in 2003 when the St. Albans, UK band Hybrid -- a trio who had been playing together since 1999 -- added a fourth member and took on a new name. The newly minted quartet hit the ground running, releasing three demo EPs in 2003-2004 and building a considerable fanbase with a blitz of live shows. By 2006 they were climbing the UK Singles Chart with hard-hitting tracks like "Mothership" and "Sorry You're Not a Winner", and in 2007 they released their long-awaited debut album Take to the Skies. The album peaked at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, reaching Gold certification and leading to high-profile sets at festivals like Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds. Their next two albums -- 2009's Common Dreads and 2012's A Flash Flood of Colour -- fared similarly, both cracking the Top 20 and drawing the band out for extensive touring, bringing venues like the Varsity Theater to capacity. Enter Shikari's electrifying live shows have earned them numerous awards over the years, including two Kerrang! Awards for Best Live Band and an NME Reader's Poll for Best Live Act at Reading and Leads Festivals 2012. With their fourth album The Mindsweep already generating buzz in 2015, Enter Shikari show no signs of slowing down.

    Best Shikari show yet

by rns119 on 3/16/13State Theatre - St Petersburg

I went to see Enter Shikari in November at Cuban Club {Tampa, FL}, and it was a good show, but the March show at State Thearer {St. Pete, FL} was absolutely phenomenal. These guys put on a great show while remaining personable and truly connecting with the crowd. I haven't seen many bands live, but I know that the State show will always be one of my favorites.

You have to see Enter when they're in the States.

by MrNumber9 on 4/27/12Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Every time I've seen Enter Shikari live they've never let me down and this continues after this show at the Paradise. Enter are more at home in smaller venue. Even though they were good at HOB when I saw them as well, they play a closer crowd even better. I missed the first band because the time was different from what was advertised, but letlive put on a really energetic show. I wasn't really expecting it, but the singer was all over the place and was genuine and thoroughly enjoying himself. Enter also put on another entertaining and engaging show. Lots of energy for sure. They played a good range of songs through their cd library with some exceptions of course. A lot was focused on the new cd, which is to be expected.

    Amazing show, forgettable venue

by Brendon2273 on 4/5/12Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Enter Shikari was terrific they played 17 songs and it was a great time. However the venue the Paradise Rock Club is a horrible venue it is small and cramped with 2 giant poles in the middle of the pit that cut off view for many. Other than the venue i would suggest seeing Shikari to anybody even with if at the Paradise again i wouldn't be willing to see many other acts at the very small forgettable venue.

    Love love love Enter Shikari

by liftmeuplove on 8/10/112011 Vans Warped Tour - West Palm Beach

I was very interested in going to Warped Tour this year, but when I heard Enter Shikari was going, I wouldn't have missed it for the world...and I'm glad I didn't. Warped Tour is basically like a 12 hour venue filled with multiple bands. Although it was blazing hot and intolerable to some, I still managed to make my way to the front of the crowd during The Word Alive. After that band finished, it usually takes a bit for bands to arrive and get ready. However, Enter Shikari were prompt and getting ready beforehand. I was so happy when smiled and noticed me awaiting their performance! Once they hit the stage, they were amazing! They were really into the show, with rob smirking and pounding on his drums. Rory, crowd-surfing and Rou and Chris going nuts on stage. Although they are from England, Floridians value them as if they were American bands, however, in my opinion, they mean much more.

    Best show EVER

by Seriouslypeople on 10/26/10Grog Shop - Cleveland

The opening bands weren't great, but that was part of what made it so awesome. The other bands tried to get the crowd pumped up to no avail. When Enter Shikari got on stage everyone just got crazy. The band kept jumping into the crowd and swinging from the lights. Awesome band, great atmosphere, couldn't have asked for a better show.

If you've never heard Enter Shikari...

by Anonymous on 10/9/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

If you've never heard Enter Shikari, now is tha time to do it. These guys play some of the greatest hardcore techno mix music in the industry. Their perfomance deffinitely kept up to par with the music as well. Along with Haste The Day, Sleeping With Sirens, and Ms. White, the show was a non stop adreneline rush.
