Love Emo Nite and try to get down to Atlanta every time it’s here but would love to have Emo Nite in a few more locations nearby. I drive 2 hours to attend but one in Greenville, SC would be great. Also Charlotte, NC. Either way I’ll be attending whichever event is closest to me!
the overall experience was cool, the venue was great- the line went fast and the staff was professional and helpful. the only thing that was sucked was the DJ. more than half the room was just standing there nodding their head to the songs they played, they clearly couldn’t read the room. previous emo nites has better DJ’s, so disappointed they didn’t play better songs as most of the crowd was not hype and looked bored. hopefully next emo nite, not the same DJ and i might go.
Felt like they played more songs that catered to the younger generation. Said they accepted requests, but when I requested a song they denied it because it wasn’t mellow enough even though they played a hyped up song afterwards. Still had fun though!
Overall EmoNite was just how I remembered and overall a really fun time. The only thing that did kind of get to me was the lack of people wearing masks. When people were getting their IDs checked they were given a mask if they didn’t have one so I was hoping, especially with the mandate in the city, that more people would abide by this. It’s great that we were all able to experience this but I also would have appreciated that being enforced. Especially with the Masq cracking down on it’s protocols at the beginning of September, seems like they would have taken that more seriously.
