by HeavyMetalSheba on 9/25/14Masquerade - Atlanta

The bands were amazing, the crowd friendly and fun. Then there was Eluveitie who put on the most epic show I've seen to date! I would see them about a hundred more times!!

    Face melting experience

    by SAlbert1 on 9/25/14Masquerade - Atlanta

Before I saw them live, I wasn't a big fan of Eluveitie. I liked Tyr, their second opener, a lot more and that's what drove me to this show. Tyr was great like predicted then it was time for Eluveitie. From the first song to the last song Eluveitie was brilliant. All eight members of the band were bringing it. Their passion and energy drove the crowd wild. A band that I barely knew became my favorite live act ever. So epic.

I have a new favorite band

    by mic1585 on 9/24/14Masquerade - Atlanta

I hadn't heard of Eluveitie until just a few months before the concert and kept going back to listening to them. Of the 10 - 15 metal concerts I've been to, they are the best. I love how well they mix metal with folk music and they have such a good variety of songs. Some death metal hard, others a more traditional folk sound. The variety of instruments they had on stage was awesome. There were 8 people on stage at once. I love the hurdy gurdy now. However, the best part is how they sound live. There aren't a whole ton of theatrics, but they didn't need it. They sounded just as good or better live as they do on their CDs. I think I'm in love.

Second time seeing this outstanding band and I will continue to see them as long as they're touring. Eluveitie is one of the most talented and creative bands around right now!

    Varg/Wintersun/Eluveitie - Excellent

by SockMonster on 12/22/12Gramercy Theatre - New York

Before getting tickets for this show, I'd never heard of Varg and had only casual knowledge of Wintersun. I've got a new appreciation for both. Since we were there for Eluveitie, and the venue was PACKED, we stayed downstairs in the lounge for the first two acts but with the video screens we could see more there than if we'd crammed into the main area. When Eluveitie took the stage, we made our way to the front and had an awesome view for the remainder of the show. As expected, Eluveitie didn't disappoint. Doing the entire Helvetios album was an interesting choice -- I prefer a more mixed set considering they have so many songs I love, so I'm glad they came back and played a few extra songs as an encore -- but it still rocked hard and I left satisfied. They all sounded great, and while Sime is missed, Rafael Salzmann was a very charismatic addition to the lineup. I'm sad that they won't be returning to the states for a while, but I got to see them twice in one year, so I shouldn't complain. I'll be there when they come back.

Eluveitie evokes the arcane and melts your face

by Killingtime23 on 12/2/12House of Blues Sunset Strip - West Hollywood

Wintersun was incredible. Death and the Healing was a great song to hear live. Eluveitie destroyed. The myriad of ancient instruments gives their music such a layered feel. The pit was a jovial display of camaraderie amongst men and women simultaneously in reverence of the past which we seem to see repeating itself whilst getting wild as we express the frustration with our chaotic status quo.

    Amazing show!

by corrinhaw on 12/1/12Metro Operahouse - Oakland

I have been a big fan of Eluveitie since their Ven and Spirit days and have been waiting to see them in concert for years and it was really good! They played their entire new album and a few of their old songs (which I enjoyed a lot, but I wished I could have heard a few more of the old stuff), but they sound really good live and they are the best folk metal band in my opinion! Also it wasn't that expensive, and I got to hang out with the band after! Awesome band, musicians, and overall experience!

    Eluveitie @ Masquerade

    by OldGuy24 on 3/7/11Masquerade - Atlanta

This bands musicianship is just amazing. How many bands do you know that use a Hurdy Gurdy? The acoustics in this venue were boderline horrible, but the energy put forth more than made up for that. Also, I really appreciated the 16 dollar tickets. Quite a change from the normal fare.

    most \m/ ever

by Milarasaurus on 3/1/11Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

Eluveitie is by far the most fun folk metal show you will ever go to. They're amazing musically and the crowd is fantastic. Whether your standing to the side or up front and just enjoying the music or in the middle of the pit (which is amazing at their shows) you will have an outstanding time. Eight musicians on stage, a variety of modern and Celtic instruments, and an enormous amount of talent. 3iob is also a powerhouse live. Since it was the last night of the tour they did a stage bomb on Eluveitie and helped the crowd sing some crazy, dead language by making fake english lyrics and holding them up on signs. Both bands and the crowd loved it. You could tell they really enjoyed playing together GO SEE THESE BANDS

Not to sound corny but....What a magical night! This band knows how to put on an amazing show. I met the lead singer and he was so down to earth and nice. I can't wait for them to come again.

    Eluveitie was AWESOME

by Vilewind on 2/28/11Firestone Live - Orlando

Eulveitie put on an incredible show. Please have them back in this area as soon as possible. The only thing that could have made the show better is if the accompanying bands were in a more similar style to Euveitie. The fact that cameras were allowed was extremely cool.
