Eluveitie Tickets

I loved the bands that played at Jaxx on November 12th. I watched Alestorm, Belphegor, and Eluveitie. The bands all played great. The venue sound was so terrible that I doubt I will ever go back. I've been to Jaxx several times but it is almost a 2 hour drive. Usually I enjoy it but the sound completely ruined this show for me. PA speakers were blown.... when the vocalists talked between songs there was static through the speakers. The mics cut in and out through entire sets. I could see the vocalist screaming but only hear it at times. During Eluveitie's entire set I barely heard the flutes, pipes, or violin. Saying I barely heard these instruments is not an exaggeration....its an understatement. I was soo disappointed.

Eluveitie's performance was incredible. No samples, full band on stage, over 7 instruments; simply incredible ... they played every song well and were just as enjoyable live as they are on the cd, if not more so the crowd was phenomenal as well. tons of moshing and dancing ... good group of people Alestorm was awesome. Belphegor was a fun watch but didn't really fit the rest of the bill. Vreid came out of nowhere and was surprisingly good. if you're into folk metal GO SEE THIS SHOW! if you're into other metal, you'll still probably have a good time

This event was the best!! if you like metal and folk music, this is a MUST SEE. Their unique instruments combined with the hard rock of heavy metal is simple amazing. The passion of the band members infused with the charged lyrics and music makes for one unforgettable night. I will see them again. This band is heading to the top. Chrigel's passion on stage permeates the crowd and brings it to a whole new energy level bordering frenzy. I have come home with bruises. now you know that's a great show!
