I took My children (7&3). They loved hearing the Organ and the singalongs! We had the best time and the Alabama was just beautiful. Will make it a yearly tradition for sure!

The Alabama Theatre is one of my favorite places of all! So glad they had so many sold out shows this season to help them out. If you have never been to the Alabama Theatre, it is a must see!

    by Bugs123456789 on 12/22/14Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The Alabama theatre is absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed myself very much! 5 star I loved it! One bad thing... Alabama theatre only holds movies once a month or during holidays, I wish they'd open more often!!

My kids and I come down every year now as part of a new tradition that we started several years ago. This year was amazing as always. We love the Alabama Theatre & Gary Jones is the best organist around.

I always look forward to an evening spent at the historic Alabama Theatre. Attending the Holiday Film Series is something I try to do each year. This year I actually attended 3 different movies during the series. The Alabama Theatre also puts on a Summer Film Series each year as well and I try to attend at least one every summer. It's something I have memories of from my childhood as well.

  • A very enjoyable time with family

by Jaburl on 12/30/13Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

We had a very enjoyable time at the show. Seeing and hearing the mighty Wurlitzer and singing along with carols was great. The movie was enjoyable. The theatre's sound system could be improved -- a little too much low frequency and not enough high frequency made some of the dialogue a little hard to follow. The venue is beautiful and the sold out crowd was very participative in the sing along.

This was our first time to experience the Alabama Theater and the Christmas movie series. My entire family loved the event and facilities. We look forward to it next year.

  • Elf, fun in an old style theatre

by cdep on 12/23/13Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

Good time at the Alabama Theatre. Few places in the room that made it hard to see the screen but we got good seats. Sold out so had to get there early. Sang Christmas songs before it started. Overall a good time!

  • A Fun Christmas Tradition

    by sblack86 on 12/23/13Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

Our family had a great time. We had kids and adults of all ages with us and everyone was laughing and enjoying the songs and the movie. This is a great way to enjoy Christmas and it is budget friendly.

  • Christmas movie "Elf"

by Htarrance on 12/22/12Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

Due to complications beyond our control, we were not able to arrive at the theatre until 30 minutes before 7:00. Therefore, we ended up sitting three rows from the very top of the theatre. We were able to see the screen and the organist well, but the sound of was lacking. We could hear the organ music but could not understand what the organist said. Also the movie needed to be a little louder. In spite of these problems, we had a wonderful evening. The theatre is beautiful, the seats are comfortable, the concessions are reasonably priced, and we felt quite safe downtown.

  • Perfect Christmas outing

by Momomomomomo on 12/22/12Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The children were impressed by the grand Alabama, and the movie kept their attention. Keep up the good work. Slight technical problem at the beginning was handled well.

  • LOVED THE JUGGLER!!! BUTTERWORTH WAS AMAZING!!!!

    by SUSAN1110 on 12/13/12Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The whole night was wonderful. Beginning with the juggler, the Christmas carols, and then the movie. I laughed at the beginning of the juggling but after a minute my laughter turned to awe as he juggled effortlessly with the rhythm of the music. Then the singing of Christmas carols put me in the mood to watch Elf, which is the funniest Christmas movie ever.
