Great holiday fun! Love anything at the Alabama Theatre!
The only improvement i can think of is the possibility of having assigned seats so people are not rushing to get and save seats.
I think it would be better to have reserved seats. To get the better seats you need to be in the theater as soon as the doors open. Being 90 minutes before the show is a long wait especially if you have children. I thought the sing along would start earlier to help entertain those who were so bored waiting for so long. It was also very hot in the theater.
It was a wonderful, fun experience for me and my family!!
It's a great movie and I've seen it before so I wasn't too upset. It appeared though that Shea's does not have an experienced projectionist. The movie was very dark at times (the lighting, not the scenes) and out of focus. At one point the entire screen went black for several minutes. I don't like to complain out free stuff but they really messed this up.
This was not a show! You are paying to watch The Elf movie!
Alabama Theater is a stunning venue! The Christmas movie series is now a familty tradition! Of course, Elf is a Christmas favorite. Go next year!
We started going to see Christmas movies at the Alabama Theater about 3 years ago. It has become a family tradition. We go to one serious movie (White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s A Wonderful Life) and one fun movie (Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, Elf) each year. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Elf as much as I have some of the others... WRONG!!! It’s now one of my favorites! And there’s no better place to watch vintage movies than the gorgeous Alabama Theater!!!
This venue is just amazing regardless of the event. The movie was great and the organ music was a nice addition to the evening. Great time!!
Not only is Elf a great Christmas movie and enjoyable for parents and children but the venue of the Alabama Theater makes it so much better. From singing carols while the Wurlitzer is played, to the atmosphere, the decor, etc. it is a great place to see favorite Christmas movies. It has become part of our Christmas tradition for my family and look forward to it for many years to come.
Fun for the whole family. We will definitely do again.
Movie "Elf" was so cute, and the experience of being in the historic Alabama Theater is great. We loved the sing along with the Wirlitzer organ.
Elf is always a great Christmas movie! It was my first time seeing it at the Alabama Theatre though. It made it even more special.
What a fun way to kick off the Christmas season! This will become a tradition for our family for sure!!
This is the second time I've seen a Christmas movie at the AL Theatre. It's so much fun! The movie was great, but the whole experience with the organ and sing-alongs, the cartoons before the movie, and just the atmosphere of the theater were fantastic. Beautiful place to see any event. We've decided to make it a tradition to see a Christmas movie each year!
It was my first time to attend one of the Christmas movies they offer at the theater. There were a total of 15 of us, we got there about 20 minutes before the show and were able to find seats in the lower level for us all together. It was over all a great experience and I would recommend it to all families!
Great Christmas night out for the family! Fun movie in a beautiful environment.
I took my 9 year old son for the first time to the Alabama Theatre to see Elf! He was blown away by the grandeur of theatre. It was decorated for Christmas and looked beautiful. We had the full Alabama Theatre Christmas experience. We watched the organ rise from below the stage and sang Christmas Carols. We treated ourselves to snacks at the concession stand. We watched Elf, our hands down favorite Christmas movie. We even had our picture taken in front of the grand Christmas Tree in the lobby. As we were leaving, my son told me he wants to do this every Christmas. So we have a new Christmas tradition! One word for our experience, magical!
I took My children (7&3). They loved hearing the Organ and the singalongs! We had the best time and the Alabama was just beautiful. Will make it a yearly tradition for sure!
