    Rock n Roll dance party

by Dpppp on 3/9/13Dante's - Portland

Electric Six really tear it down, they have tons of material and just play for an hour straight. Its hard to tell where the pit is at an E6 show because the whole place is dancing and grinding. Great experience. If you like their music even a little bit I wouldnt miss them.

E6 hits like a bomb and drops Fire

by arrivalwillbetelevised on 10/29/12Mercury Lounge - New York

E6, as the hardest-working band in rock and roll today, is always, always on point but this show was especially good. They decided at the final second to scrap their entire setlist and make up a new one for Halloween... after a devil/demon trilogy of Devil Nights, Hello I See You, and When I Get To The Green Building, they dropped the entire album Fire from beginning to end, which they NEVER do. Then they finished strong with a few other "hits." Impressive that they can just reach back 10 years to tunes they probably haven't played live in about that long. The new member Da Ve was doing a great job as well, though of course we all feel a little torn lest we dis the Colonel. Obviously I'm a bit of a fan, so consider that when deciding for yourself. My friend, who digs the occasional listen of an E6 song or two but hadn't seen them before, was totally blown away. My sister, who probably likes a bit more Serious Art in her music, was entertained but not converted. She was in the bathroom for "Naked Pictures (of Your Mother)" and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. That uncertainty is part of the Electric Six essence.

"I wanna make it last forever"

by Anonymous on 10/29/12Mercury Lounge - New York

What a great show. New member Da Ve fit right in and the band was up to their usual antics. Lots of energy despite playing at Mercury Lounge two nights in a row. Place was nice and organized, packed but not too much that you were squeezed in.

Electric Six puts on yet another great show

by OffspringFan on 10/25/12The Basement - Columbus

Each and every time I've seen Electric Six, I have had so much fun, and this concert was no different. They should be far more famous than they are!

A took a while for the show to start (doors @ 7:30, opening band started nearly 2 hours later) but both the opening act, Little Hurricane, and the headliner, Electric 6, absolutely rocked the place. Both bands really seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage. They had a great stage presence, had smiles on their faces most of the show, and had a phenomenal sound. The venue itself, the Basement, was pretty fitting as well. Just a typical rock & roll kind of bar, but it made for a great place to hang out & see some outstanding bands.

    GREAT SHOW!

    by SteveY713 on 11/7/11Frankies - Toledo

I saw Electric Six with Andy D and Kitten in Cleveland on November 2nd, so I had to take the drive to Toledo. Dick Valentine had some issues with his voice, but made it up in the way of playing their biggest 2 hits 2 times each ('Gay Bar' and 'Danger! High Voltage'). Andy D tore up what little stage there was, and was hilarious. Kitten was a great band to open for Electric Six. They may have moved up to one of my favorite bands, and I will be highly anticipating their upcoming release. Loved the whole show! It was a great time. I wish I could do it all again!

how are these guys not bigger?

by zompork on 10/31/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

in my opinion, the most overall entertaining band in the world right now. hit after monster hit - its a crime these guys aren't selling out MSG or NJ's Giant Stadium. they have more talent, drive, & integrity than anything on top 40 radio aside from the Killers- that would be a great show! but i have to admit, i treasure the intimate crowds, but don't be fooled! intimate does not mean timid, arms folded, goatee scratching art intellectuals (although i've seen them rocking out too) - the audience knows how to rock almost as much as Electric Six - but there can be only one - do yourself a BIG favor & see these guys anywhere you can, buy their album doesn't matter which one, they're all great. but even if you know zero songs going in, they win win you over live i guarantee. my name is zompork, & i am a bonafide E6 song-junkie

Electric Six shocked my socks off.

by polyrawr on 10/3/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

I went to this show for the sole purpose of seeing E6 and they performed just how I dreamed with a 17 song setlist of pure awesomeness. Wasn't familiar with Kitten, they were okay, the female singer seemed really sexual so that was entertaining to watch I guess (lol); but Mark Mallman was hilarious! He put on a show that was truly memorable and was pretty cool for a two man band. But back to E6. There were technical difficulties on the bass players' amp (or something) so Dick Valentine played Jimmy Carter as an acoustic bonus and played synthesizer at the end for a apology for the delay. (I know they were extras because the drummer gave me his setlist) They were all engaging and super fun and I would IMMEDIATELY go see them again.

2 out of four ain't bad

by Darkurthe on 10/2/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

Running down this list of openers: School Knights, the only thing worse then their cliche name was thie rmusic. They are not fit to carry other peolple's much less play their own. Mark Mallman, combine Freddy Mercury, Elton John, Bonnie Tyler, Jerry Lee Lewis and Meatloaf into one sorta talented but entertaining dude... Kitten, they get some miles behind them and they should be good. I would have liked to see them for a full set and ditch School Knights. Electric Six was awesome. Bassist had an amp blow out, which probably cost us a song. Not the first time I have seen an amp blow out in the venue... might be worht while checking wiring. Sound at The Blue Bird is okay, it sounds a bit run down as compared to The Gothic.

Sex and Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll

by LightninFinger on 10/2/11Bluebird Theater - Denver

Yes! Dick and the boys were up to their usual greatness. Guitar madness. Hickenlooper. Utah. Synthesizer insanity. Funky-ass bass. Longmont. Zany skins. One Republic. Spencer. Kitten pounding her tamborine on her ample chest. Flashbacks of Christina Amphlett in the early days. Little girl is gonna get whiplash. Pure RnR!

    Electric Six was AMAZING!

    Insanity on Display

by BSURufio on 4/7/11Birdys - Indianapolis

Andyd rocked everyone's world. He has so much energy and so few reservations. He definitely won some fans that night. The Constellations were the most relaxed band and they were a very nice ensemble. They had things that were funky, soulful, and chaotic all in one show. The Electric Six might have had the least energy of the night, but their star power was apparent. They were crowd pleasers and the lead singer was an involved showman, cracking jokes and interacting with the crowd.

    Fun Times!

by Anonymous on 4/7/11Birdys - Indianapolis

Electric Six is a great concert to go to if you want to have a fun night out with your friends. We went as a group to celebrate birthdays, and we couldn't have had a better time! The opening acts were fantastic, and all the bands provided a fun-loving atmosphere where I could dance and drink and have a blast. They were personable, and for that I am thankful.

    Electrifying show!

by Gralls on 11/15/10Grog Shop - Cleveland

Electric Six at the Grog Shop was an insane show in a wonderfully intimate setting. The three bands preceding Electric Six ranged from alright (Fawn) to amazing (The Constellations) and did a great job of getting the crowd pumped to see Electric Six (I'm sure the ample amounts of Pabst Blue Ribbon didn't hurt either...). There were a lot of drunkards getting into mosh pits which, at first, was frightening, then exhilarating. Once Electric Six started playing some tunes familiar to everyone at the show (like Gay Bar), the whole place erupted into ecstasy. The venue was small, but it was great because of the intimate feel. I was even able to touch members of the bands they were so close. Not only were the bands close during their performances, but afterwords almost all of the performers could be met out on the floor walking around and talking to everyone who stayed. All in all, it was an incredible show.

Electric Six has the power of 100!!

by ImNotLisa on 11/15/10First Avenue - Minneapolis

Bouncy, naughty, rowdy, energy....Electric Six is always a ton of fun!! They played quite a bit of their new album, it's as good as the rest of them. Paired with The Constellations, the night was a perfect capsule of party music to dance to. Super fun!
