Ed Bassmaster is a comedian, content creator, and prankster best known for his wildly popular YouTube channel, where he brings an eccentric cast of characters to life. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ed developed a love for comedy at an early age, drawing inspiration from classic pranksters and observational humor.
In 2006, he launched his YouTube channel, quickly gaining a loyal following with his offbeat sketches, hidden camera pranks, and hilarious character-driven videos. Over the years, he has amassed over 2.5 million subscribers and hundreds of millions of views, making him one of the internet's most recognizable pranksters. His iconic personas--such as Skippy, Teste, Mumbles, Bushman, and the "Would You Look at That" guy--have become viral sensations, with fans quoting his catchphrases worldwide.
Ed's success on YouTube led to mainstream recognition, including appearances on major TV networks and his own reality-comedy series, The Ed Bassmaster Show on CMT. He has collaborated with brands, fellow comedians, and social media stars, cementing his place as a pioneer in digital comedy.
Despite his online fame, Ed remains down-to-earth, often sharing glimpses of his personal life as a husband and father. When he's not creating content, he enjoys spending time with his family and continuing to push the boundaries of comedy through live performances.
saw him in Knoxville his show was fun I’d go again
I first seen him in Ohio then travel to Kentucky A wonderful man and was so funny I went with my son and we laughed all night . He was so nice to everyone there We love Ed and will go back and see him every chase we get .. Maybe 🤔 I can get is hotel room key this time I think Chip is into older women 😘
He came out and said “I don’t prepare jokes for these”.. And it showed. The whole show was a mess. He would just come out in his different characters’ outfits say “Would you look at that.” then would throw some socks into the crowd. It was so bad. He sent more time changing than he did on stage.. Wasted a bunch of our time while talking to family and friends. At one point, he said his dressing room was locked so he just signed people’s shirts for like 10-15 mins in silent. He showed “never seen before footage” and they just showed the clip in a video editing program as they scrubbed through the timeline.. Everything felt so half-assed. Use to love his YouTube channel.. and this was extremely disappointing.
The whole show was an unmitigated disaster, at some point he locked himself out of his dressing room.
Laughed out loud throughout the entire show! Love all the characters!! Unfortunately, there were some idiots in the audience who thought we were there to hear them yell out during Ed’s performance.
I went to the show in may 2022 had a great time bought front row seats for the show in July the day AFTER and dont know if i would return. I paid 140$ to see edbassmaster, tony was great but thats not who we paid to see also feel like it was very rushed. Great show but just dont think its cool to have openers without notice..
I thought I liked the guy, well his YouTube videos are funny, but his show is the complete opposite. The o my good part of his show was his opener tony rogers. Ed bass master himself honestly sucked. It was mainly him making fun of the lighting and telling people to shut up in the crowd. Definitely would NOT go again
Just when I thought I couldn't love Ed Bassmaster and his humor any more, I went to his live show. The dude is hella talented and all of his characters are absolutely hilarious. It's so incredible to see people like Ed that just want to infuse laughter into the world with his own unique talents. I can't wait to see him again!
Show was pretty bad. Opening comedian was not very funny. Then there was a weird guy playing a guitar... Ed came out in a few different characters. Some parts were funny but mostly it was a horribly put together show. They couldnt get the videos they wanted to play to work. The opening comedian came back out and had no idea what to do... It was a very poorly planned show and was not worth the money at all. My girlfriend still wont talk to me since taking her to the show. I think she is completely reconsidering our relationship because of it. Just kidding but she was very annoyed at the show. Wish i could have my money and my time back.
Great show Ed was hilarious there was alot of interactions with the crowd. Was a such a fun evening would definitely encourage peopl to go and see this guy.
