Ed was awesome with his characters. There were some slow spots but all in all pretty good! The best part was he took many breaks to change and it was perfect for bathroom and beer break!

  • Expanding YouTube Characters

Edbassmaster’s ability to play so many uniquely different characters was fun to watch and experience! I would not be surprised to see him transition into movies playing major roles.

  • Better on videos than live

by Oprah on 11/21/21Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 2 out of 5

Ed Bassmaster is a master of character prank videos on Vine and YT. If you don't know who he is, I've heard others label him " The Walmart Sacha B Cohen". I've followed his comedy videos online for years. Those are done improv, live as they are basically hidden camera pranks. So, didn't know what to expect with a live performance. The show was written to be each of his characters on stage, doing their own comedy show. But that did not translate or work well, unfortunately. I would consider the show more of a character stage show, than any sort of comedy act. It was obvious Ed is still experimenting, and it was noticeable Ed is not a practiced stage performer (yet). He falls in/out of character often, trips-up on his thoughts, forgets parts, and had a hard time staying in character when being heckled.

  • Sacramento Show - Not what I expected

by NorCal on 11/21/21Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - SacramentoRating: 2 out of 5

I had hoped for a good stand up routine however that wasn't the case. The characters he payed were funny and as seen online however there were uncomfortable moments of silence. He based his whole routine on audience back and forth. It seemed there was no prepared material. The ending was very odd when he walked off the stage. No one knew if the show was over. The venue announced for people to wait for their checks and that was it. Very bizarre all in all. Would not see him again.

  • Decent enough

by Jess K. on 11/9/21Rivers Casino Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was great, the show seemed a little disheveled. Ed had to alternate between 8 characters and while he did a great job, it seemed like items were forgotten to be placed on stage or he forgot items, not really sure what was going on there. His family is from the area of this show so not sure if too much partying went on prior or not, lol. My kids loved it, I thought it could’ve been better. My favorite character he only did for less than 60 seconds. I wouldn’t go again, but glad I went.

  • Not the best

    by J on 11/8/21Rivers Casino Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

Performance was not the best. Felt like it never got started. Thought there was going to be more standup material. Really wasn't that funny. I saw a lot of people leave early.

  • Kinda lame

by BP on 11/8/21Rivers Casino Philadelphia - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

He showed youtube videos and did character sketches. It didn't build momentum with the short performances. It wasn't that funny. The jokes were repeats of what the videos did. Wouldnt go again.

  • It was okay

by Edrules on 12/18/19The Fillmore Philadelphia presented by Cricket Wireless - PhiladelphiaRating: 3 out of 5

Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge eddy b fan however the show just lacked, it seemed like Ed was a little rattled probably cause he’s new to the show world. He basically dressed up as his characters and walked around on stage in not sure how else he could change things but I’ll give it an okay.
