SECOND TIME WE SAW THE PLAY. HAD A GREAT TIME. ERIKA IS INCREDIBLE!
Everything was wonderful! This was my second time seeing Saturday Night Fever...loved it!!!
Each and every actor performed exceptionally well! Singing while dancing is such a talent. They never ran out of energy. They truly looked like they were enjoying every minute of their role.
A great show! I could see it again next week! The dancing is beautiful, and the singing is amazing. I wish all the shows I see left me feeling so awestruck.
The reason why i chose this show in the first place was because i love the original film. I was hoping they would stay with the story line as some shows i have been to before have changed the story line and therefore the show was lost. I am pleased to say that the show was great and followed the story line. The cast / dancers were superb along with the characters they were playing. Well done to them all!!
As with every show I've ever seen at Drury Lane, this one was also "just okay." The two leads were the only ones who could really sing. The supporting cast was weak, the set was lame, the choreography was amateurish.
Well done, fun, great acting. Easy place to get to, free parking.
Really excellent production. The music, dancing and acting were top notch. Hot and sexy with some excellent original musical numbers to go along with the original score. Overall a fun experience. Highly recommend seeing this.
This was a great play, I loved the music brought back memories of the Bee Gee Days. I would definitely recommend seeing it, you won't be disappointed. All the actors were very good and played their parts very well. The singing was outstanding. This was my first visit to Drury Lane in Oakbrook and it won't be my last. Loved the theater, seats were comfortable with enough leg room.
The music and lights were very stimulating! The performers were fantastic dancers.
It was my husband's 50th birthday present and we both had a spectacular time! I thought it was better than the movie! We couldn't of had a better time!
My spouse and I enjoyed the show the first time enough to go a second time with fantastic seats on a Thursday night performance. I would go again it was that good. To all who look at this review; if you loved the movie; I don't think you will be disappointed. The only thing I would change is - since it is a week night performance they should start 30 minutes earlier and/or shorten the intermission.
Saturday Night Fever is an excellent stage play. It takes the audience right back to the era of disco dancing & that Bee Gees music is so good.
Fairly engaging transfer from screen to stage. Because the film is so iconic to some, many elements of the play suffer in comparison. This production does capture the exuberance of the disco culture and a touch of its seediness.
This show was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it for anyone that enjoys musical and for those who enjoyed the movie. You won't be disappointed.
This was my favorite play ever! I took my daughter as an early birthday present and we loved it! The actor playing Tony was phenomenal! Not only were the singing, dancing and acting fabulous but Tony's personality was so adorable! The entire cast was fabulous! Go see it!
I hated this show. The original music was awful. The book was worse. The staging was bad. The sound was worse - constant background music drowned out the actor's dialogue. With the exception of lead Adrian Aguilar, most of the acting and singing was pedestrian. What a total misfire.
Thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Singers and dancers did a fabulous job. Toe tapping throughout the evening. Would go again.
Very well done. Entertaining. Great dancing and singing. Main characters were great.
Saturday Night Fever the musical has great potential! But it seems like a work in progress. Drury Lane is always a great venue, & the set was very clever. However, the star of the show is the dancing, and this night it appeared very rudimentary. I have the same comment for the 3(?) original songs. With a little more polish, this could be a hit!
