Best production I've seen in a long time. Great experience
The show was good but lacked sparkle and fun. I have seen better productions.
The singing and dancing was terrific. I saw the play originally 20 years ago in the UK and this edition was even better than I remember.
This show was amazing. There were no slow spots. It just kept on moving. I was sorry to see it end. Everyone did an awesome job
I had a group of 8, I have never seen any variation of mama Mia, I didn’t know what it was about! My other 7 guests have seen the movies and other plays. They all said that this one was by far the best they have ever seen!! It was extremely well performed! Everyone’s voices were superb! I would go back again, except it’s over next week! This show should definitely go on the road!! Left us all with a great feeling! Thank you to the wonderful cast and to DruryLane for your beautiful accommodations! And to the gracious men at your valet service, thank you too! I’ve been many times to DruryLane , and hopefully many many more times!!!
This is the first time I visited the Drury Lane theater and it was a great experience with the theater and the show performance. I hate crowd so avoid the Chicago downtown to attend show performance. Parking was easy and the show happened on time. I just hope there will be more great show performances like Mama Mia at this location. I will pay attention to their offerings from now on.
Best onstage production I’ve seen The entire show was awesome. The energy that resonated from the stage was incredible Made you want to be a Dancing Queen
The show was terrific. The cast had beautiful voices and were well cast for their parts. It was so uplifting. The curtain call alone was worth the ticket price. If you Get the chance - go! Drury Lane is a gem. Every show I’ve seen there is as good as a show downtown or New York, for half the cost and half the hassle.
We really enjoyed the Drury Lane production off Mama Mia! Last Friday. The production was terrific! The set was beautifully designed, (though from our seats in zone 1 we missed some of the acting going on by extras in the ‘bar’); the dancing and choreography were incredible ; vocalists were all great, especiallly the lead females. Stand out actor was Kevin Corbett as Pepper. Wonderful performance, don’t miss it in its final weeks!
Love it! It’s a very good show. We enjoyed it a lot!
THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST PLAYS THAT I HAVED SEEN YET..ALL THE ACTORS PERFORM WAY BEYOND WHAT I EXPECTED..VERY ENTERTAINING..WELL ORGANIZE AND PUT TOGETHER..EVERYTHING WORKED..ON THE DOWNSIDE ITS LEAVING IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS..I WOULD LOVED TO SEE IT AGAIN..
Skip the pre show dinner, very pricey not that good
Singing, dancing, music. Sound was crystal clear. Everyone was phenomenal. Also great there is a free parking garage. Big plus
Fantastic! Job well done! Much more than I expected! Actors were great vocals were great scenery was great really a fantastic performance! I would recommend anybody go see it
Awesome presentation. Wonderful venue. We had a great time.
Great music, great set, great fun! We had a wonderful time. Didn’t want it to end.
My teenage daughter saw the show last week with her aunt, and she loved it so much that she wanted to go again. This time I went with her. It was a great show! Beautiful voices, great choreography, great chemistry with the cast. My favorite part was rocking out with the song montage at the end. So fun! Only downside was the older gentleman next to me who talked and shifted in his seat through the entire show. He’d shift and then I’d have to adjust as well. The seats are a bit tight at Drury Lane. If you have ample hips, be prepared to feel wedged in. And... don’t buy the $8 chocolate cake at intermission.. not worth the $ or calories. I recommend the show! I’d totally see it again!
I had seen Mamma Mia years ago when it first played in Chicago and thought it was okay. When I saw that Mamma Mia was going to be showing at Drury Lane, I thought I would take my two granddaughters to see it, mostly for the ABBA music. What a difference in productions! The casting was perfect! The actors were very engaging and the choreography was absolutely electrofying! I can't find enough adjectives to describe the magic vibe in the audience....it was wonderful! Everyone one was on their feet dancing and waving their arms. Standing ovation times three! I am telling everyone I know to see it before it closes. Let's have more shows like this. Kudos to Jane Lanier. Thanks Desantis family.
Performance was AMAZING. Unfortunately seating was horribly uncomfortable. An EXTREMELY large person sat next to me and took up half my seat space. I literally had to watch the performance with her body up against mine no matter how far I leaned over into my daughters space (not comfortable for her). We bought the dinner package and had to wait over 1 hour after ordering to get our food. Someone took our leftovers to “wrap them up for us” and NEVER returned.
I am a huge Mama Mia fan and this musical was very special. The show was spectacular with incredible singing and heartwarming performances. Loved every minute of it!
