So surprised there was not more people. My daughter and I were spending the week in Angola from New Mexico. Heard about the event on the radio as we were traveling from the airport. So glad we went! The music, the dance. The choreography, the props - all wrer amazing. I told everyone I knew that they definitely need to check it out next year.
The Bands were unbelievable! Had a hard time trying to pick the best! They were all fantastic!
I went to one five years that was awesome. This year it had more dancing and seemed to follow s story. I didn’t like it as much even left early. I prefer the more “ marching band” approach and more drums. After all it is named “ Drums on the waterfront “.
The selection of music was fabulous. Sometimes I like some of the selections and not others. This was not the case. I thoroughly enjoyed each Corp. The talent was phenomenal! See you next year!!
We enjoyed every minute of the show ..hated for it to end ..show was well organized..
Took my daughter to her first DCI Show and was not disappointed. She has been playing sax for a few years and we thought she’d really enjoy seeing the corps. All the shows sounded great and they put on an impressive visual show. Definitely returning next year with the whole family.
Great performances, ran on schedule, weather was perfect, entry lines ran quickly.
THE SHOW WAS GREAT AS USUAL. ITS AMAZING WHAT THESE YOU PEOPLE CAN DO!
If you know drum corps, you'll understand what I mean when I say that this was a really top lineup of corps, and being late in the season they were in very good form. If you don't know the activity, I highly recommend it. Either way, the venue is excellent - the stands are very close to the field, which means you can be close to the performers while being high enough to see the formations. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
3rd time and it’s still amazing. These young performers do an outstanding job.
This was a wonderful show. We loved everything about the performers. The venue was great but the workers who directed people to their seats, really had no idea what was going on. I'm disabled, at the gate they were wonderful, helpful ,and accommodating. Loved them! But where the seats were, the 'helpers' just listened to anyone who wanted to sit where they wanted. Right before the show started, we were moved, another disabled person was moved, and the seats were given to someone who clearly walked without difficulty. That was disappointing. The show itself was amazing, just missed retreat from years ago, and the drum majors receiving scores.
The DCI Drum Corp competition was out of this world. 1700 young people displaying passion, drive and amazing talent on the field. Each of the 10 corps was fantastic.
Holy awesomeness. Would attend again next year. Maybe in other cities too
I have attended this event annually for several years and it just gets better and better. The talent and commitment these young people display are awe-inspiring. If you've never attended, consider putting this on your calendar for the same time next summer!
This was our second time seeing this show and it did not disappoint. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Our son is a member of a high school marching band so we can appreciate the hard, hard, work that these performers go through. Great show!!! Hope we can make it next year.
Watched Drum & Bugle Corps competition. Hot, steamy day. Thankfully our seats were shaded and we had a breeze the whole time. Sat near 50-yd. line and easily saw all the trons. Acoustics OK for the live music. Parking and Entrance staff were efficient and helpful.
Having marched in my last show some 47 years ago, this was a treat for sure. The drumlines were great from every corps. 12 snares...unbelievable! Horn lines with 14 contras. GE was fabulous. The days of "off-the-line" are long gone, as well as retreat. I'll be back next year, with more friends.
I loved it!!!! This was my first time and it was amazing!! I will be going again!!
always a treat to see 7 or 8 of the top ten just before Finals week; no traveling to Indy, no hotels, no high$ for tix. bottom bowl of the Ralph filled from end to end
