I enjoyed Drumline Live! I understand the vision and know that with time the show will improve...especially by the time they make it to Broadway! During the show, I wanted more. Some scenes gave me that, while others did not. Nonetheless, it's a great show and I would recommend it to every lover of music, bands, and, of course, the Drum Line!

I enjoyed the event, I think that if more advertisement could have been done; more individuals would have attended. I really really told everyone that did not attend that they missed a treat, especially for the children
Drumline is a must see!
by Anonymous on 1/27/11Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center - TallahasseeRating: 5 out of 5This production was spectacular from start to finish! It really deserves to be on broadway and we are praying for just that!
AWESOME!
by XtraSyrup on 1/27/11Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center - TallahasseeRating: 5 out of 5This show was remarkable, nothing of what I initially expected. Definitely not a depiction of the movie, or just "drumming,' which I initially thought! A few tweeks here and there and this show is definitely Broadway Bound! Great job, cast and directors!

show should be called marching band...expected and wanted to see isolated drumline playing and less marching band...
Drumline Live! was wired for sound!!!
by luckyticketholder on 1/25/11Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center - TallahasseeRating: 5 out of 5Thank you to the Civic center in TAllahassee for not cancelling this show when ticket sales were lower than expected! The creativity, energy, talent grabs the audience and leaves you feeling like you were in the right place for once! I took my 3 college offspring tonight, and we have never enjoyed anything as much! So glad I followed through and ordered tickets and got them onboard! Hooray! A dream come true for these artists as well as the audience!

Drumline was amazing!!!
by DrDebEsq on 1/25/11Times Union Ctr Perf Arts Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5Drumline provided a great night of entertainment, and not just from drums. Singing, dancing, Motown, horns, plus drums! I thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Drumline Line

Amazing performance.
by MrAppreciation on 1/22/11Moran Theater - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5This was truly a great well rounded and entertaining family Event. The show highlighted many different genres of music from past to present while showcasing the talent of some amazing musicians. I love HBCU band performances and appreciated every minute of the show, especially when the Drumline was highlighted or performed alone in battle. I took my eleven year old son and he had his passion for music , particularly drums rekindled by this amazing performance. Everyones performance was great, drums, wind section, vocals, the MC, dancers and of course The Drum major. All around a great show. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy great family fun.

Drumline was deceiving. We expected a vibrant showcase of an actual drumline. Not a marching band variety show. Very disappointing.
DRUMLINE LIVE is inspiring
by Anonymous on 11/10/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5Congratulations to the performers in Drumline Live! It was really thrilling to have such talent gathered on the stage for not just a mini half time show, but also a gospel-tent-at-Jazz-Fest performance, and a history of MoTown and HBCU marching bands. Truly spectacular. Everyone should be clarmoing already for a new tour. The bonus opportunity to meet the players afterwards made it even more special. Thanks to the crew who put this together and brought it to New Orleans.

I bought these tickets for my husband as a birthday gift. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I was awesome. I was satisfied with my purchase before the show was completely over.
Not what I expected
by LadyTB on 11/3/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5The show was great and educational. It was not what I expected at all. The brass was amazing. And the drummers were out of this world.
Drumline was very entertaining!
by Dblaine on 11/2/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5Overall, I thought Drumline was very entertaining. I wish there had been more highstepping, stadium, halftime like acts. I loved the way the performers came out into the lobby of the theatre after the performance and mingled with the audience. I also loved how they allowed the children to play on their drums. I was very impressed with the humility and graciousness of the performers. I found this very refreshing. It was a wonderful evening!
Outstanding musicianship
by femaledrummer on 11/1/10Mahalia Jackson Theater of the Performing Arts - New OrleansRating: 4 out of 5Recommend for all ages, especially for the young musician. The show begins with songs from the past and ends with the present. They made sure to capture various styles of music, too. Great job!
