Wonderful musical arrangements with such beautiful instruments. The soloist was marvelous and very personable with the audience. Nathaniel Taylor had me mesmerized. I couldn't take my eyes off him playing the cello. What a talent. The pianist was very instrumental in the arrangements that were simple lovely. The harpist added so much to the arrangements as well. The group is unique and worth every penny to see them again.
We were so glad the harpist (not to mention, his harp) arrived in time to begin just a bit late. Enjoyed their harmonies and musicianship and creativity SO much! It was great to hear a group where ALL of the musicians are this talented, not just one or two. And Mikal's voice was clear, warm, and completely angelic! We were in awe. We were both a little distracted by the keyboardist, only in that he was CONSTANTLY having to bring in extra instrumentation electronically, and adjust the mix. I wondered if more digital automation might help that, as the added instrumentation coming and going from the mix WAS nice. While in admiration of his expertise, all while playing the piano part, his constant movement drew our attention a lot. At the intermission, he tweaked the overall sound balance perfectly, so we could hear the harp as well as the cello. This totally turned around my hubby's opinion of the group--that's how important balance was. I think with the airline snafu, there was little opportunity to get it right the first time. We would absolutely come to hear them again, and we bought three of their CDs to enjoy the rest of the year. Re: venue, with the rise of a new variant, I'd rather have seen the audience in masks. We were shoulder-to-shoulder with non-mask wearers in a packed house.
This group was awesome. The lead singer has a smooth, angelic sound. Loved the cello, keyboard and harp, they blened well together. I also loved the idea of placing a bulb on the Christmas tree đ. Ill be there next time they come to town.
We really enjoyed our night out with the Sons of Serendip. Their humble spirits, excellent musicianship and the gentle overall feeling of the concert just made us want more! We will return to see them again if they are in our area!
Sons of Serendip are fantastic musicians and great people too. Love their personal stories. In this tumultuous political climate we live in nowadays, their message of love, joy, hope, and peace is beautiful and so welcoming. Followed them on AGT and I am very proud of who to continue to be. Keep up the good work. Would definitely not mind seeing them in concert again. Thanks.
Refreshing. Inspirational. Unique. Personal. Spiritual
We loved seeing Sons of Serendip. They are amazing. Such talented guys and super friendly too. Will definitely see them again.
The music was simply splendid. The venue was recently remolded so to see this group during the 75th year at the Maryland Theatre was superb
Thoroughly enjoyed my evening with this talented group. I sat back and let their melodies wash over me.
