I took my grandson who is a drummer. We both really enjoyed it and we had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the blast from the past going through the ages. We both agreed that it was a little too loud lol but still enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this show. I had to travel an hour and half to see it. It was worth it but I was very surprised with the demographic of the audience. I would have much rather been around my peers. I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more. Next time I would love for them to come to a more urban area
We weren’t sure what to expect for the show and we were so happy that we went to the show. It was such a great experience. Fantastic performance that will make you want to get out of your seat and dance in the isles. They engage with the audience and have fun with the crowd. Go, you will be so glad you did!
I learned about this act by accident because I am on Lehman Center mailing list. For years I have wanted to see one of the great HBCU marching bands in action. Drumline Live is is like an amalgam of the best brass and drummers and dancers and singers from the best HBCU bands. They kick it! Literally and figuritively. Their medleys of Bruno and James and EWF and KOOL and Motown are brilliant. It's a show of energy and meaning culture ! Two thumbs up! I've been raving about them to my friends since I left the venue and got so many people excited about them for their next visit to New York.
I Highly recommended. Show was very well put together.
Must see event! Please bring it back to NYC. These young adults have so much talent!
Expected to see drummers as the main focus of this show, not the case. One guy sitting behind a kit at the back of the stage, supporting several horns and some dancers and singers. It was like going to a recital.
The people in it were talented. However, the first half had almost no drums in it, so the title is very misleading. It really felt like someone had an idea to do a show that involved a marching band, but did not know where to go with it. It looked like this was a first draft of a brainstorming session and they had not yet decided on a vision for the piece as a whole. The acts included some bizarre elements, such as celebrity impersonators and people in neon costumes in the dark. It had no focus. When I bought the tickets, I had hoped there would be a lot of drumming, and also marching band stuff. Similar to the old Broadway show called "Blast!"It was not what I expected, but also not well executed. The second half was way better than the first, but the whole night felt half-baked.
Great inspiring event, especially for music lovers. The cast was very engaging.
My family and I really enjoyed the show. The drumline, dancers, and host were very entertaining.
Highly energetic, historical, and extraordinary choreography. I loved the different skits for each year, the costumes, and the musical arrangements. It was fantastic! I would go again and again.
We drove down to Baltimore from Wilmington, Delaware to see the show for a second time because we loved it so much when we saw it in Wilmington two years ago. Drumline Live did not disappoint. My middle school son and I loved it - a great memory together.
Took my nine year old son to drum line live and we both absolutely enjoyed it. All the performers were excellent. The crowd was into the show from start to finish. Thought this was a great way to promote music education as well as promote HBCU's and the HBCU experience. I would definitely recommend to see the show i plan on taking, my wife and daughter with me next time it's on tour.
We absolutely loved the show great energy had us dancing and vibing the whole time. Highly recommend
Great show, my 6 year old grandson also enjoyed it
Well put together production. Brought back my HBCU band life days! I loved the live dancing and pictural education.
This was amazing show. I beg everyone to see it. Wow
