    DooWop forever

by Cats on 4/15/19Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

This is the second time I have attended this concert, and I will go again and again. This is music as it should be - melodic, can understand the words, not screaming anger, and these groups were all fantastic. UNBELIEVABLE!!! From "Charlie brown" to "smoke gets in your eyes". Such talented singers, such joy

    Incredible evening

by Kathy on 4/15/19Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

What a wonderful show! The groups were amazing. Love that these guys still have the moves from the 50s. They got the crowd out of their seats and dancing to some of the best music ever recorded.

    A walk back in time

by dblack945 on 4/15/19Akron Civic Theatre - Akron

The groups were everything that myself and my high school sweetheart had expected. All three were great and their voices were very commendable. We just hope that the Civic Theater promoters continue to bring more acts like this back especially for us baby boomers. We are the majority now!

Could not find a parking place at the VBC

by not happy on 1/24/19Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

We arrived about 45 minutes before showtime and there was no parking available anywhere within walking distance of the VBC. They should not double book events and not have adequate parking. We are so disappointed that we didn't get to attend. They need to provide parking and a shuttle if everything close is full.

    Oldies

by Blaze on 1/15/19Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

Superb concert Saturday Night at Von Braun. It was a packed house to see the bands perform with songs we could sing along with because the words were understandable and without cursing. The music represented an era of more pure groups where their britches were pulled up. The fun was evident throughout the concert as the clapping and cheering demonstrated. Yes, the greatest generation of music was represented with these three groups in wonderful fashion! Rock and Roll lives!

    Unforgettable 49th Anniversary!

by ChristinaCarmella on 8/12/18Bob Hope Theatre - Stockton

I took my parents to see The Drifters, Platters, and Coasters for their 49th wedding anniversary...To watch them become teenagers again; PRICELESS, and to see the look on their faces when the Platters sang their song "Remember When" AWESOME!

    MALT SHOP was great

    by Sharonqb on 4/1/12F. M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Purchased these tickets as a birthday present for my husband. We both enjoyed the show very much. Especially Kenny Vance, The Drifters and the solo performer Lenny (Welsch). They were all great. The other acts were also very entertaining.

    Oldies

by TomVSFD on 12/13/10Broome County Forum - Binghamton

The show was fabulous!! I hope this is the beginning of a long, LONG list of events to come. The music was great! The memories, even greater! We all know that Rock & Roll is here to stay. Keeping it alive with as many of the original artists as possible should be our highest priority. I am looking forward to the next one. Anyone who missed this show should make sure they don't miss the next one. They have already missed too much.

Tony DeLauro's DooWop Xmas Show Rocked the House!

by Maybelline on 12/12/10Broome County Forum - Binghamton

Tony DeLauro outdid himself. His show was totally fantastic...........thank you Tony :))))) Randy and the Rainbows are extremely talented and are the nicest group of guys. They haven't lost 'it' and they never will !!! Judy and The Chiffons were as sweet and fantastic, just like in the '60's...Felt like I was still sitting in Dick Clark's Little Theatre watching his show with them on it and Clay Cole would be proud too... What can I say, Larry Chance and the Earls were as terrific as ever and the personalities of those guys were unbelievable. What great performers and sweethearts. Charlie Thomas and the Drifters....wow......Charlie will never lose that sweet smile and beautiful voice.........and Bailey has the moves just like Pearl :))) They're related ya know!!! This show Rocked and wish it was still going on now!!!
