Great show! Talented performers! Sang all my favorite songs! They created a lot of enthusiasm between performers and audience. Genesee is a beautiful theater! Conveniently located and easy to park. Cost was affordable unlike many other venues. Would like to see a few more restaurants in the area. J.A.
Decent performances by all but all did nearly as much audience participation begging as performing. I paid to hear them, not other members of the audience or to have us act like idiots doing a joint audience wave, etc. They gave no real history of the groups over the years and there was no video presentation of their early days and history as is done by many other performers. I wouldn't pay to see another performance.
The show started a little late but was worth the wait. Great show with song's with words you could understand. Just wonderful.
Really awesome show for the money, all the great oldies, kept you entertained non-stop !1 It was difficult to stay in your seat and not get up and just dance. Would seriously go again
The theater was great. very impressive looking. The attendants were very helpful. Seating and sound were great. When you go to a concert to see the original singing groups you expect them to sing the songs as you remember them. I thought I was seeing tribute artists singing old songs. The sounds were nowhere near sounding like the originals. I have seen the Drifters and the Platters in the past and those groups sang the songs as the original songs sounded. Even though the groups were entertaining and did get the audience involved.
The Coasters were fun, the Platters were excellent as were the Drifters. Would definitely go to see them again!
The Drifters, The Platters & The Coasters were awesome. So much much to listen to music from my parents era and relive memories of them.
LOVE these shows! These groups were so great--dressed up, did choreography, harmonized, sang words you could understand, and took turns as the soloist. All three sounded great and the audience was into it!
The songs brought back fond memories. The Drifters were fantastic and very profesdional. The original Drifters would be proud.
My husband and I went. It was our first time and the music was wonderful and happy. Just everything we thought and more it could have been.
I was disappointed at the Saenger Theatre I bought five tickets and when we got there someone was in two of my seats and the usher would not make them move so we had to split up and take seats around them. I don't believe this was fair and not sure I will ever be back after this. The Saenger Theatre was so hot we all about died, we was sweating so bad it was awful. There are sure the need for some improvements at the theatre. When the entertainment goes to front of stage the people in balcony can't see them, that's not good business. I was just very disappointed.
Enjoyed hearing the Golden oldies and having my heart hum along. However, Band was loud and sound system so bad and intrusive, it took away from performances. We were in loge, perhaps floor seating would have been better. Many left at intermission not to return.
It was great to get to hear all three groups, however, there were serious sound issues that caused distortion and volume issues throughout the concert. they need to get a new sound man.
One of the best shows ever. I really enjoyed all three performances! Talk about terrific and very entertaining! Front row seats for an affordable price and the venue was very comfortable. I could see this show agin and enjoy it just as much! Shout out to the Drifters,Coasters and the Platters. Job well done guys.
The show was a blast from the past!!! Venue was the right size for the event and everyone joined in singing the with the songs you never forgot
The Drifters were great but the backup band was way too loud and often over out powered the singers. I just think the speaker system needed to be adjusted so we could enjoy the groups even more. As far as the show, I loved it.
Since this was not hard rock, we did not bring ear plugs and had to run out of the theater early because of the volume. The Drifters were not painful but the other two groups were. Very disappointing!
All three groups were good. I enjoyed all the songs each group sang. Would have liked it more if the groups would have sung more of their own releases instead of mixing in other groups oldies.
This was an evening of songs that will live on forever.First up the Coasters, who were good but lacking something.Should have had more comedy in their act.Next the Drifters, great songs, good act.Now I know why they put The Platters on last.Everyone in that group had so much talent. Each member taking on a song as lead. One gentleman who was taking over Tony Williams spot had a voice that Mr.Williams would be jealous of.He hit notes I have not heard in years. What a great show, hope to see them again in the future.
