About

Drew Lynch On Tour

“A comedian with a stutter” is how Drew Lynch describes himself on his popular YouTube channel, and that description is certainly accurate. But it’s also misleading, because Lynch is so much more.

His weekly videos feature the affable, earnest Lynch monologuing alongside his ever-patient service dog Stella, or Lynch and Stella rendered in colorful animation for their recurring “Therapy Dog” segments, or Lynch performing stand-up at clubs around the U.S. They regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, winning him legions of fans around the world.

More than making people laugh (the job description of every comedian ever), Lynch’s mission is unique. Yes, he’s a comedian with a stutter, and he often makes his condition the punchline of his jokes. But whether in his videos, on stage, or acting in film and TV, Lynch applies his comedic gifts to dispel stereotypes and convey a message of perseverance, open-mindedness, and positivity.

Lynch didn’t originally set out to inspire anyone — or to be a stand-up comedian, for that matter. Relying on his boyish good looks and stutter-free charisma, he left his native Indianapolis to attend performing-arts high school in Las Vegas and, after graduating, moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor.

While hustling for acting gigs in 2011, he was derailed by a freak sports accident. Fielding grounders for the Flappers Comedy Club softball team, he took a couple balls to the head and throat and woke up with a speech impediment that still afflicts him. Stand-up comedy provided release, as well as an eager audience.

But his biggest break came in 2015, when he came in second place in the 10th season of America’s Got Talent, receiving the rare and prestigious Golden Buzzer courtesy of fellow comedian Howie Mandel. Since then, Lynch has made his condition both a cornerstone and a sideshow of his comedy routines, establishing himself (and a prodigious YouTube presence) and taking his show across the U.S. and Canada.

So funny, but venue wasn’t the best

by Feather on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

Drew Lynch was super funny, enjoyed his set a lot. But - the venue was just chairs in a room and we were unlucky enough to be sat next to a large man, and also behind a very large man, so it was tight and I couldn’t see the stage most of the time. This meant I spent most of the show watching one of the several big screens they had around the room, which defeats the purpose of being at a live show. Unfortunate, and they definitely should invest in some stadium style seating. 10/10 for Drew though!

    Excellent

by Leah M on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

Drew Lynch, and the two guys who opened for him were absolute comedy gold. We laughed so hard, all night. So thankful they came to the Tulalip hotel and casino which is such a beautiful venue and quick and easy to get in and get out.

Drew was hilarious. Seating was ridiculous.

by BD on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

As always, Drew is quite the funny man and I enjoyed his show. Wasn’t a big fan of the opening act, I was glad that they had limited time on stage. The worst part was the seating in the venue. It was all one level and I couldn’t see anything. There’s so many huge people surrounding me that viewing the stage was not an option. I guess I’m grateful that they had TVs around, though I didn’t pay to watch a TV could’ve stayed home for free to do that.

    Very funny

by Johnna on 10/18/23The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

We had a great time at Drew Lynch. Only suggestion is afterwards, there was a free meet and greet. The staff said if you wanted to purchase merchandise to move to the left otherwise leave through the right and we just wanted to do the meet and greet so we left through the right only to be told we had to wait in the merchandise line for that as well. The line was so long that we ended up just leaving because we had kids at home. The show was great though, and we enjoyed our date night!

    Meh

by Meh on 9/25/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Overall the show was meh. Everything you see online from other shows was far funnier than this live show unfortunately. Sure there were funny spots but for me few and far between. Lackluster for sure. Immediately wasting 10 minutes talking about crossing the border was kind of an indication of how the rest went. Too bad because we were excited to see him. Don't think we will bother again unfortunately.

    Hysterical, great performance again!

by Theresa on 4/17/23Orpheum Theater - Madison

Great seats, show didn't disappoint, improv because of the infant made it stellar!

Only a couple downfalls about the theater

by CBaier on 4/17/23Orpheum Theater - Madison

We absolutely loved the show! Both comedians were great…and FUNNY! Would definitely see Drew Lynch again!! The reason I knocked off a star is because I personally do not like the fact that the theatre doesn’t accept cash and also the seats we had were so close together that it was hard to be comfortable. You have to really like who you’re sitting next to.

    Definitely seeing him again

by Lani J on 4/17/23Orpheum Theater - Madison

I was so happy to see Drew come to Madison and I didn't know he'd been here before. He was hilarious and I loved the way he interacted with the audience! Someone brought their baby (who was wonderfully behaved while awake!) and his improv jokes were so funny (sorry baby Tristan)! I thought the venue allowed for photos but when I took my phone out, I was told to put it back, but that was fine because Drew was so kind to have a meet and greet after the show! I had a whole little thing I wanted to tell him and made it short because I assumed I would be rushed out (the line was long), but after I told him everything I had in mind, he took more time with me and my friend to chat! He was more than pleasant and so was the headliner, Justin Foster (also hilarious) and his camera man who told some funnies before Justin!

    In Stitches!

by Laughalot on 4/17/23Orpheum Theater - Madison

Drew delivered an awesome performance! He was witty, had great energy and was beyond hilarious! He had us in stitches the whole time! Highly recommend seeing him! I’ve been watching his videos and thought he would be great to see live. He was even better in person! Great performance!

    Not great

by Jay on 4/16/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

His TikTok videos are really funny but none of that came through in his life performance. He seemed tired and disorganized and uninterested. And making fun of your wife's body isn't cool. Really disappointed in the whole thing.

    Funnier than a witches tit

by Big Poppa on 4/16/23Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Jokes, timing, interaction with crowd…I would say funnier than chris rock was last year. Will plan to see drew everytime he’s in town. So good.

    Great show - Great venue

by dp Activities on 3/29/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

We had a great time. The venue was spotless, inviting and the people working there knew how to get us comfortable. Drew Lynch is very funny but what we really loved is his connection to the audience.
