About

Drew Lynch On Tour

“A comedian with a stutter” is how Drew Lynch describes himself on his popular YouTube channel, and that description is certainly accurate. But it’s also misleading, because Lynch is so much more.

His weekly videos feature the affable, earnest Lynch monologuing alongside his ever-patient service dog Stella, or Lynch and Stella rendered in colorful animation for their recurring “Therapy Dog” segments, or Lynch performing stand-up at clubs around the U.S. They regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, winning him legions of fans around the world.

More than making people laugh (the job description of every comedian ever), Lynch’s mission is unique. Yes, he’s a comedian with a stutter, and he often makes his condition the punchline of his jokes. But whether in his videos, on stage, or acting in film and TV, Lynch applies his comedic gifts to dispel stereotypes and convey a message of perseverance, open-mindedness, and positivity.

Lynch didn’t originally set out to inspire anyone — or to be a stand-up comedian, for that matter. Relying on his boyish good looks and stutter-free charisma, he left his native Indianapolis to attend performing-arts high school in Las Vegas and, after graduating, moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor.

While hustling for acting gigs in 2011, he was derailed by a freak sports accident. Fielding grounders for the Flappers Comedy Club softball team, he took a couple balls to the head and throat and woke up with a speech impediment that still afflicts him. Stand-up comedy provided release, as well as an eager audience.

But his biggest break came in 2015, when he came in second place in the 10th season of America’s Got Talent, receiving the rare and prestigious Golden Buzzer courtesy of fellow comedian Howie Mandel. Since then, Lynch has made his condition both a cornerstone and a sideshow of his comedy routines, establishing himself (and a prodigious YouTube presence) and taking his show across the U.S. and Canada.

Creative, Funny, and Engaging Stand Up

by Dawson on 3/4/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Drew Lynch surpassed my expectations of delivering an amusing and entertaining hour plus time of stories and humor. Seeing him perform is time well-spent. Like all comedians these days, he is bawdy and risqué, but he is also self-deprecating and human.

    Greatest 50th Birthday EVER!

by Dawn F on 2/1/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

We had such an amazing time at the Drew Lynch show! Drew is always such a delight and did such a wonderful job, even with the sound issues the venue was having. He kept us laughing the whole time. My family and I went to his show to celebrate my 50th birthday weekend and Drew did not disappoint! The venue was great but the sound could have been better. There was a lot of echo and they tried hard to fix it, but we still had a great time. The staff was phenomenal and we had an awesome experience all the way around. We love you, Drew!!! Thanks for making my birthday so special.

    A Little Disappointed

by CStokes on 2/1/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

We have been watching Drew for years! My husband and I love him, and we were so eager to see him in person. We were seated just 6 rows from the stage and when the show got started, we immediately recognized that we had heard all this material before. They mentioned that they were filming for a N**flix special, but we were just surprised that we paid for a show we have already heard before. We were glad to have seen him in person, but we were both disappointed.

    Up and coming comedian

by Lizzy on 2/1/24Columbia County Performing Arts Center - Evans

It was a little odd that he redid a quarter of his show at the end. Left it a little wanting and the jokes weren’t as funny a second time. But when he stayed up on stage after that and joked with the audience he was at his peak for hilarity. I think I enjoyed that bit the most. He has some great jokes though. His intro comedians were overly crass and went for cheap laughs and obscene gestures to get the audience going instead of quick whit like Lynch. The first intro comedian as probably a 5/10 laughs. The second was laughing out of discomfort. Lynch brought genuine laughter and was pretty wholesome.

Really enjoyed the show! Drew is funny, seriously funny, and even more funny! I think his shows should be for 17 and older, but that is my personal opinion. Would go see him again, again and again! WE LOVE YOU DREW!!

    Great Venue

by Carebear on 1/30/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

The venue size was great. Drew Lynch and his openers were amazing!!!! The only issue we had was they didn't serve beer at the venue, only hard liquor. There needs to be more variety for this who don't drink hard liquor.

    Drew lynch was AMAZING but….

by Stacia on 1/29/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

Drew Lynch was hilarious… if you’ve ever seen him online, he’s better in person. The only complaint I have with the show was the sound quality. We couldn’t hear/understand either of the opening acts because whoever was running the sound did NOT do a good job ( there was too much of an echo and distortion in the sound) so all we heard was noise. But Drew got on stage and had it fixed within 2 minutes and we were able to enjoy the show

    Good show, horrible venue

by Kat on 1/29/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - Savannah

Saw Drew in Savannah, GA at the Johnny Mercer civic center and the sound was so awful we couldn’t understand the first two acts at all. It caused confusion for everyone seated near us as we were trying to figure out if was just our area or the entire venue. Drew got it mostly corrected when he took the stage, but it totally ruined the atmosphere and experience.

Hilarious and cares about his fans!

    by Malayna on 1/12/24

Drew was a great experience! He is hilarious, and pretty good with his crowd work. Yes a couple of jokes are recycled but they still landed funny! And he took the time to take photos with his fans!

    Fun but cramped

by Vaughn on 11/14/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

2 out of the 3 comedians were absolutely hilarious. It was hard to really enjoy the event though since the venue literally packed us into the ballroom lounge a tin of sardines. I'm not kidding, the random person on my right was basically in my lap and the guy in front of me was legit sitting in three chairs at one point. It was really bad.

So funny, but venue wasn’t the best

by Feather on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

Drew Lynch was super funny, enjoyed his set a lot. But - the venue was just chairs in a room and we were unlucky enough to be sat next to a large man, and also behind a very large man, so it was tight and I couldn’t see the stage most of the time. This meant I spent most of the show watching one of the several big screens they had around the room, which defeats the purpose of being at a live show. Unfortunate, and they definitely should invest in some stadium style seating. 10/10 for Drew though!

    Excellent

by Leah M on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

Drew Lynch, and the two guys who opened for him were absolute comedy gold. We laughed so hard, all night. So thankful they came to the Tulalip hotel and casino which is such a beautiful venue and quick and easy to get in and get out.

Drew was hilarious. Seating was ridiculous.

by BD on 11/8/23Tulalip Resort Casino - Tulalip

As always, Drew is quite the funny man and I enjoyed his show. Wasn’t a big fan of the opening act, I was glad that they had limited time on stage. The worst part was the seating in the venue. It was all one level and I couldn’t see anything. There’s so many huge people surrounding me that viewing the stage was not an option. I guess I’m grateful that they had TVs around, though I didn’t pay to watch a TV could’ve stayed home for free to do that.
