About

Drew Carey is a stand-up comic turned actor and producer who had the distinction of having two hit shows simultaneously: the long-running comedy "The Drew Carey Show," which ran from 1995-2004, and the improv/sketch show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on which he was host and a producer. He began his successful career as a comedian in April of 1986 at the Cleveland Comedy Club. One of his first big breaks was competing on "Star Search '88."
In 1991, Carey landed a spot on HBO's "14th Annual Young Comedians Special" and appeared on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson." Carey also had the opportunity to work with Bruce Helford, and their experience led the two of them to decide to co-create a series for Carey. Carey went on to star in his own comedy special for Showtime, "Drew Carey: Human Cartoon" and performed in Showtime's "Tenth Anniversary of the Montreal Comedy Festival."

I haven't laughed this much in a long time!!!

by redradish69 on 2/6/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Drew Careys Improviganza was so much fun!!! I laughed until I cried!! If you're like me and desperately miss Whose Line is it Anyway...this will fill the void. We didn't have to spend a fortune for out tickest and the seats were great. I would go again and again if I could!!! I can't wait to see these episodes on TV coming up in March.

    Great show!

by NaniGoat50 on 2/6/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

The entire cast from "Whose line is it, anyway" was there. I saw the later show, so it was probably a bit more raunchy and longer than the 7:30 show, which is what I hoped for. The venue had ridiculously priced drinks and snacks, so be sure to fill up before you get there!

I was expecting to see Drew Carey performing stand-up comedy. He cracks me up. This was more of "Whose Line Is It Anyway" type of show. Drew had 5 others on stage with him, including Ryan Stiles, and they all took turns doing skits.

    Fast and Funny

by Kaido on 1/24/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This was my husband's birthday present and we both enjoyed the show very much. We laughed until we cried. I think the only negative was the fact that we did not get our credit card back very fast, but that has nothing to do with the show. Drew Carey and his gang were awesome. Keep it up!

It was def. a taping of a show....

by eCareerCoaching on 1/24/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

We sat in one of the last rows and it was honestly difficult to fully hear and comprehend what the actors were saying. I say "It was def. a taping of a show...." because you could tell that they would let each improv scene drag on and on because they would be cutting out the good parts for the actual TV show (it seemed). Now I know why "Whos Line is it Anyway" was so good - it was definitely edited to show the good parts of the show. Perhaps I would have liked it more if I was closer to the stage?? Overall - it was okay. I'm cheap, so I don't know if I would pay the $59 again to go. Drew is a good guy though! I don't want him to think I'm bashing him! ha-ha

    Drew and Friends were hilarious!

by OHLVgirl on 1/24/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Drew and Friends at Drew's Improviganza! Would love to see them here on a regular basis. Great thing about Improv is that it's never the same show twice and we look forward to seeing the show again.

I promised myself that if these guys ever came to Vegas I would go, and I am so glad I did. Seeing the show live was awesome! It is amazing how they come up with that stuff so fast. I can't wait to see it on Tv in March!!

    The rating says it all!

by Argyle127 on 1/22/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

The show was absolutely amazing!!! It was better than I thought it would be! I used to watch Whose Line is it Anyway religiously and this was just like it, which is exactly what I hoped for. I went in there hoping it would be good but I also know that sometimes improv can be tough and there can be nights where it can be hard to be funny and witty live on the spot. But let me assure you, these guys don't disappoint. Well actually, I was a little disappointed that Collin Mochrie wasn't there but I think that they may switch up actors for the shows every once in a while but who knows. And remember as the saying goes...anything can happen!

    Drew Carey & Improvaganza

by Pigsty on 1/19/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Improve part of the show was great, funny, entertaining. First 10 - 15 minutes Drew Carey's stand-up routine could have been better, - too much f - this and f- that. Completely unnecessary.

by LostEcko on 1/17/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This show is amazing. Everyone has a good time. Not only making things up as they go but playing along with problems that arise during the show. It was an unforgettable experience and one that is highly recommended.

    Drew Carey Improv

by Robmeddy52 on 1/16/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This was a great show. Drew came out and warmed up the audience and has really funny, talking about his daytime television show and such. The cast was excellent and the MGM Grand Theater had great acoustics.
