About

Drew Carey is a stand-up comic turned actor and producer who had the distinction of having two hit shows simultaneously: the long-running comedy "The Drew Carey Show," which ran from 1995-2004, and the improv/sketch show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on which he was host and a producer. He began his successful career as a comedian in April of 1986 at the Cleveland Comedy Club. One of his first big breaks was competing on "Star Search '88."
In 1991, Carey landed a spot on HBO's "14th Annual Young Comedians Special" and appeared on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson." Carey also had the opportunity to work with Bruce Helford, and their experience led the two of them to decide to co-create a series for Carey. Carey went on to star in his own comedy special for Showtime, "Drew Carey: Human Cartoon" and performed in Showtime's "Tenth Anniversary of the Montreal Comedy Festival."

    Wow!

by Hetfield on 2/17/12MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This show was incredibly funny. Not being on TV, it did get naughty, but always in a relatively clever way. The players were awesome. If you are a fan of Drew Carey, or improv at all, you will have the best time. Well worth the money.

by Cyren1 on 2/7/12MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

We traveled from the East Coast just to see Brave Combo and it was worth it. They sounded great and played with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The rest of the show was also fabulous. I can't remember when I laughed so I hard.

    Drew was great.

by WalterVegas on 2/6/12MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Loved the Improv about the shows. Could not stand the 25 minutes of the warm up Polka band. Not that it was bad, but it was so loud! My ears were bleeding by the end. Loved Drew and his pals, great stuff when they brought people up on stage.

    Unscripted genius!

by AthIsa on 8/29/11Morongo Casino Resort and Spa - Cabazon

I have been a fan of Whose Line and improv comedy for years. Drew Carey's Improvaganza is comedic gold. Drew, Jeff, Chip Jonathan, Heather etc were hilarious (hoping to see Ryan, Colin, Greg and Brad someday). The scenes they do are so incredibly clever and the audience involvement makes the show even more hilarious. I can't wait for the next one...

Drew Carey's the 'name" but doesn't bring da game

by NotafanofDrew on 2/9/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

Almost missed the show! Ticketmaster tickets listed a start time of 10 PM. Box Office confirmed a 9 PM start! Drew Carey may be the "headliner" for this show, but his cast of improv comrades bring the game. Sadly, Drew and his former co-star Kathy Kinney (Mimi) were the poorest performers in the ensemble. That said, it was a lot of fun to watch the true improv masters at work. The audience members selected to participate stole the show several times, too. If you like improv, it is a fun night, if it isn't your bag (in my date's case) it will elicit little more than a chuckle.

Our faces hurt from smiling too much!

by broncodevil on 2/8/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

We really enjoyed Drew Carey and the Improv all-stars. Most of the cast of characters from the TV show were there and they didn't disappoint. They went through several improvisations using the audience. All the bits were very funny and clever. We had great seats and loved every minute of it. It went by too fast and we wished they would have done a longer set.

    Improv-A-Ganza - Las Vegas

by AngryMudsucker on 2/8/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

This was truely amazing, right venue and certainly the right cast. Great value for the length of the show and hillarous till the end. A must see if yoou are a fan of Who's Line is it Anyway as this is a modernised version that will have you in stitches.

Want to watch the new show on TV!

by VegasWatcher on 2/7/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

As a tryout for a new series, the show was excellent. It blended elements of Whose Line Is it Anyway with both favorite "old" talents and some great new talents. Great fun and a delightful show.

    hillarious!

by theracytomato on 2/6/11MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

My husband and I try to see a Vegas show each trip we take there. We saw this and thought we would give it a shot and are we glad we did! This show was very similiar to Whose Line Is It Anyway with skits that the audience participated in. We laughed so hard our sides hurt.
